Speaking of the Bigfoot Rendezvous

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on July 6th, 2006

I attended the Bigfoot Rendezvous several weeks ago in Pocatello, ID. I had a great time. I saw some friends and colleagues that I had not seen in some time, others that I had seen only months or even weeks earlier. Yesterday, the Boise Weekly published an article about the event.  The article focuses on […]

New York Times Reviews Finding Bigfoot

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on January 4th, 2012

It was bad enough to see them terrorizing Florida, Oregon, Washington State, Alaska and the other places visited in Season 1 by the sasquatch hunters of “Finding Bigfoot,” a documentary series on Animal Planet. But the opening episode of Season 2 on Sunday night finds the investigators just a few hairy strides from New York City. How would you like to be jostling for a seat on the subway with a cranky, possibly fictitious 10-foot biped who hasn’t had his morning coffee yet?New York Times

Are You Out There Bigfoot?

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on April 2nd, 2007

Are you out there Bigfoot? Dear Bigfoot: It has come to my attention that you still don’t officially exist and yet refuse to leave popular culture. This raises a question: what’s wrong with you? Don’t crouch under that sequoia, shrugging your hairy shoulders and grunting all innocent. And stop scratching. It’s 2007, Bigfoot. Isn’t this […]

More On “Bigfoot = Human?”

Posted by: Loren Coleman on November 28th, 2006

In yesterday’s blog, “Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot = A Hairy Human?”, I overviewed the startling announcement from M. K. Davis, after ten years of study, that he feels that the film’s Sasquatch is nothing more than a “human.” But he says it is not a human in a suit. Due to his forthcoming appearance in a motion […]

Skeptics and Bigfoot

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on March 28th, 2006

The Spectrum, the University at Buffalo campus newspaper, reported on a lecture titled "Applying Science to the Paranormal" that Benjamin Radford gave last Friday night there. The next target for Radford’s objective and critical approach was Bigfoot. He had molds of footprints and lots of popular pictures, such as the Bigfoot who sells Spam, as […]

10-13-05 Thank somebody for inventing the iPod… A 4-hour flight from Seattle and a 3-hour drive from Dallas, with a short stop at a Hitchcock set Dennys dinner later, I finally arrived at the Plantation Inn Ennis, Belle suite – thanks to Lee Murphy and crew. I hitched a ride with them to the conference […]

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on July 23rd, 2006

When Benjamin Radford, managing editor of the Skeptical Inquirer was in San Antonio to speak at the Institute of Texan Cultures on June 3rd, I mentioned to him that he looked very similar to Matt Crowley. I even joked that maybe they were twins, separated at birth. I also joked that since they had not […]

Robert W. Morgan: Citizen Spy

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on September 23rd, 2010

Citizen Spy

Most Bigfooters have heard of Robert W. Morgan.

Many have read his books.

Some have seen his documentaries.

But most are probably not aware of this:

“Citizen Spy” is the story of Morgan’s infiltration of the mafia as a private citizen working with the FBI and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency. It features a foreword written by retired DEA agent Norman Jones and retired FBI agent Frederick Coward. The final chapter shares a confession Morgan heard in London about who killed Pope John Paul I and why.
