Many of you may be surprised to learn that people have been seeing something that resembles “The Loch Ness Monster” in the San Francisco Bay since the 1800s. Indeed there are hundreds of forms of marine animals and fish that call the area home and, reportedly, some form(s) of aquatic dinosaur(s) may be among their ranks.

For Bill and Bob Clark there is no doubt about it. Since their first encounter with one of these relics from the prehistoric past in 1985 the brothers have seen such creatures several times and cataloged numerous sightings from other eye witnesses.

Godzilla – Breathing New Life into a 60-year-old Legend

Posted by: Monster Island News on April 29th, 2014

For the filmmakers overseeing such a complex operation, there was perhaps nothing more challenging or exhilarating than the creation of its main event. “Toho had given us their blessing to re-envision the character, but it was equally important to us as well as Toho that Godzilla look like Godzilla,” Tull says. “We wanted to bring him into contemporary reality while not steering too far from the classic silhouette that so many of us grew up with, and Gareth and the entire team walked that line with passion and inspiration.”

It’s Blacksploitation Bigfoot in “Yeti: Giant of the 20th Century”

Posted by: Monster Island News on March 29th, 2014

There has never been a Bigfoot like this! Styled after the legendary 1976 King Kong remake, this little known import finds a group of scientists and explorers tinkering with mother nature when they stumble upon a centuries-old yeti in the frozen tundra. Of course, their first instinct is to thaw out the savage Sasquatch and profit from him in the name of research and entertainment. But this hairy giant has other plans, and like his cinematic cousin Kong, he’s looking to grab the girl, climb the tallest skyscraper and smash the city to shreds. This snowman is ready to kick major ice!

Nightbeasts Ready To Make A Big Monsterpalooza Splash!

Posted by: Monster Island News on March 22nd, 2014

Over the past several years (starting back in 2009) there have been a lot of Bigfoot themed horror movies (and porno movies … still don’t get that one!?) that have flooded the independent film scene.
