Braxton Picture Addendum:

Posted by: Rick Noll on December 20th, 2005

One time I had a camera trap set up and it always went through a lot of film. Something was tripping it but not getting captured in the camera. Was it invisible? Was it too intelligent? Was it shy towards cameras? Was it too small? Too fast? Was it just the wind or falling leaves, swinging branches? I wondered.

So I set out to see what was doing it…

I sat for half a day watching the camera and sure enough, from a larger tree near by a couple of birds flew from and tried to attack the camera. The camera flashed and tried to take a picture. I watched it do this a couple more times and then went and retrieved the camera, setting it up in a different location.

Developing the film still produced no images of what I had witnessed.

Makes me wonder if where this picture was taken, they don’t have birds of that color. It could just be a bird that has swooped down to attack the intruding mechanism and is pulling up; wings folded down and slightly spinning it’s body as it does so.

All of the above pictures are of birds indigenious to the area where the original Braxton picture is claimed to have come from. Pretty intense colors huh!?

Or maybe it is something as simple as this –

    Rick,

I doubt the bird theory. Wouldn’t the bird be out of the frame by the time the picture was snapped? On your last post, I looked at the blown up version you had. After staring at it for a minute or two, I saw a cropped in picture of a “skinny” grizzly bear walking towards the camera, left front paw crossing over the right. The light areas are part of the bear picture. What do you think?

And when are you going to share with us about BB guns and BF hunting? Was I close on my guess? You’re killing me.

I think its the Flame from fanastic 4. This photo is strange, i can’t figure what the blurry section is above where a head should be.

  3. 2400bc responds:

If we have to strain our imagination this hard to figure-out what is in the photo then aren’t we on the verge of seeing only what we want to see?

  4. Bluewater responds:

    Rick,

The pictures of the birds in the trees did you take them with your digital SLR or a camera trap?
Are you using digital camera traps?
If yes what brand and model number please.
Do you see any pros or cons of the 35mm versus the digital camera traps?

In my opinion “regranger” has the best guess so far in the last Braxton thread – a horse walking towards the camera. It even looks like it has one of those white patches running down the snout. Color’s still off, but its the best guess I’ve seen, especially when compared to the enlarged view of the object.

  6. Rick Noll responds:

    Camera traps? Hmmm… next post.

No, I did not take the bird pictures.

  7. KenMD responds:

I like the horse, I can just see that.
Just posted a thread on this stuff and again how come no one can ever get a clear shot????

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
