Okay, I watched this very folksy, homespun serio-comic documentary. The fact that most of locals haven’t seen, heard or believe in it should answer any questions about it. Not sure why the film is interspersed with cuts from the 1961 micro-budgeted stinker “Creature From the Haunted Sea” and Les Tremayne from 1967’s “Creature Of Destruction”. They don’t help matters. Once the manatee angle is presented, you need go no further…I will say that as a professional sculptor myself, I found the model of the creature very well done.
