This photo was sent to Matt Moneymaker’s twitter account according to Adam Bird of the Facebook group Bigfoot: Believers Only.

Avocado Lake Park is a 210 acre day use park providing recreation that includes swimming, fishing and picnicking. The park has picnic tables, a group picnic area, BBQs, Earth Boat launching ramp and a playground.

It is 23 miles east of Fresno, CA.

Here is the original, un-enhanced and zoomed versions.

lol…. yawn… looks like a normal person to me.

  2. chadgatlin responds:

It’s just a bush. Looks like all the other bushes in the photo before you circle it in red. It seems most of the time that if you have to circle it for people to see it, it’s probably not there.

  3. Goodfoot responds:

    Where has our Photoexpert gone?

This is interesting. It’s bulky, the stride looks at least convincing, as does the musculature. But no details are to be found.

But someone in a suit or parka and overpants over layered clothing is equally possible.

    Welcome back, Cryptomundo!

  4. WeirdFresno responds:

I’m a researcher who lives in Fresno and would love to find out more about this photo. Is there any more info like who took the photo, when it was taken, etc? I know the area and it’s pretty low for where bigfoot have been known to have been seen in the area, but maybe the drought we are going through made it head to the foothills? Speculation only of course. I’d definitely love to look into this. Any way to get in touch with the person who took the photograph?

  5. Raiderpithicusblaci responds:

I too have pondered the fate of Photoexpert; I wish him well.

My problem with single photographs is, well, their singularity. Why not fire off a whole volley of them? Perhaps this beast is real; perhaps not. Me, I find these photos of Kate Upton’s breasts far more compelling.

  6. Goodfoot responds:

    Raiderpithicusblaci:

Good point. I don’t know if it should arouse suspicion, but maybe it should. As for “a normal person”, WHY? It neither looks like an easy-out person nor an easy-out “stump”. Never saw a stump with two legs, two arms and a head, in full stride, except in FANTASIA when I was little.

    WeirdFresno:

Drought could really be a factor, not familiar with the Fresno area personally. Mountains to the east and west are both significant distances away, right? How about large foothill masses?

  7. cryptokellie responds:

Now do a second enhancement of the original photo from the “it’s a bush – not a Bigfoot” bias.
Seriously, one can enhance this type of image to infer any conclusion you want.

  8. Dr Kaco responds:

Pareidolia my friends…..nothing more, but we will keep looking!

  9. maxsideburn responds:

As to the “fire off a bunch” comment I could be wrong but this strongly appears to my eye to be film, not digital. That was the first thing that caught my eye. Is this perhaps an old photo that is just now surfacing?

  10. PhotoExpert responds:

Goodfoot & Raiderpithicusblaci–Thanks for wondering about me. I read posts here almost every day and comment when I can. I recently had two deaths in the family and was absent for a week or two, but I am back since July 1st almost every single day.

When the time comes, you can count on me for photo analysis. Since I am catching up on older posts, I can give you a quick comment on this photo and jump right to the conclusion to save me some typing. The subject of this photo is most likely not an unidentified primate but a human being, misidentified as a Bigfoot.

    See you around Cryptomundo!
