Biscardi Update: Scouring the Country for Bigfoot ?

According to Linda Martin, blogger at Bigfoot Sightings, Tom Biscardi is no longer involved with the Great American Bigfoot Research Organization, or GABRO for short. Apparently, he has parted ways and started another organization, as Linda Martin says, "The Bigfoot Hunters".

The original pay-per-view site, Finding Bigfoot, is still up, but Biscardi’s photo and his info are no longer listed there. However, he has a NEW website up, Searching for Bigfoot, Inc., where you can track his exploits. In his words on the site:

In the upcoming weeks, Tom Biscardi and his team are planning expeditions all across this great country as reports come in for new sightings and encounters. Tom will be utilizing some of the newest technological equipement to be able to share his discoveries, in real time, with you!

I can hardly wait to hear the latest! Be still my beating heart…I did hear from a good friend of mine, a big name in the Bigfoot field in a neighboring state, that Tom was coming through town and wanted him to hop on the bus…

Another blog quotes Biscardi as saying that he had 40,000 paid subscribers to his pay-per view through his old site. Linda Martin responded on 2/01 saying the following:

Tom is no longer in Happy Camp, where I live. In fact, he’s no longer a part of the Great American Bigfoot Research Organization…he quit recently and started his own group "The Bigfoot Hunters" which includes my friend, JavaBob. They left California a few days ago to travel across country to various Bigfoot sighting locations.

And that 40,000 figure was never accurate. I doubt they ever had more than 300 subscribers at a time if that. Probably nowhere near, though with the new management it may grow in popularity. The organization Tom used to work with, the Great American Bigfoot Research Organization, lowered the price on the videostreaming months ago. It is now only $6.95 monthly. They plan to put the cameras back up somewhere and keep the videostream active though Tom Biscardi will no longer be part of it.

So what is going on? Has Tom Biscardi abandoned Peggy Marx and her 2 grandsons, Lee and Jimmy Hickman, the expert Bigfoot trackers?

The wife of the late Ivan Marx, Peggy has been involved with the search for Bigfoot since 1951.

Peggy Marx is a fearless adventurer, with a great love for animals and nature. She is at home in the midst of bears, coyotes, cougars, and other animals of the woods and forests.

She partnered in the Bigfoot research of her husband Ivan Marx for over 45 years. She was featured in Ivan’s 1970 film, "The Legend of Bigfoot", where Ivan characterised her as being a "rare woman".

Quotes above about Peggy Marx are from the GABFO website.

Also from the GABRO website is the following from the bio of Tom Biscardi:

Biscardi’s first company relating to Bigfoot research was "Amazing Horizons Corporation" in 1971. Tom talks about how he got into Bigfoot research:

"I was watching John Carson in 1967, and I saw the first 8mm footage that Roger Patterson took of the Bluff Creek incident. I said to myself, ‘How the hell can we send a man to the moon, but we can’t find this creature’."

"I went to the library and researched my predecessors, to see what kind of mistakes they had made, so that I could do better. I then started my own Bigfoot research company to stage expeditions to find the creature."

So I guess that Biscardi spent the 4 years from 1967 until 1971 researching those that had gone on before him, and then forming his "Bigfoot research company"?

First of all, the Patterson/Gimlin film was shot on 16mm film, any self-respecting Bigfoot researcher should know that. Well, I did say self-respecting.

Was the P/G film shown on the Tonight Show? I know I didn’t get to stay up that late in 67, but I would imagine that if it was shown there, it would have been at least in 1968. Maybe I’m wrong, but I doubt it.

Do any of the Cryptomundo readers have any info regarding the showing of the P/G film in 1967 on the Tonight Show? If you do, weigh in here…
