Tentsquatch in Color

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on September 28th, 2012

Full color, zoomed and stabilized version of the video.

Word in the Bigfoot community is that Rick Dyer of the 2008 Georgia Bigfoot Body Hoax is behind the video.

It says right in the beginning of the video that the video itself and any other related videos have been revealed to be a hoax. Though, I can not find “Team-BIG” on Facebook, except for some less than clothed women.

  2. TheBK88 responds:

Edit: Here is the site I believe they are referring to as having found the video to be a hoax.

Forehead looks off. Not necessarily fake but not right somehow. Zero facial movement, no non-verbal communication going on at all considering it is ducking out because it’s just seen the person taping it through the tent window. Was too hopeful when I saw the black and white footage.

  4. Tony K Lucas via Facebook responds:

A Fake by anyother name is still a fake.

  5. nissl responds:

I’m not necessarily swayed by “it has to be a hoax since a proven hoaxer has the same tent” argument. Nor am I swayed necessarily by a grainy headshot taken through a vent.

However, the hairs on the back of my neck did stand up on watching this (as they did when I first saw the PG film all those years ago). And I swear I’m seeing movement/rotation in what would be the cervical joints in some of this footage.

If it’s a hoax, I’ve got to tip my hat to the hoaxers. It’s gotten to the point that I’m not sure my anatomy PhD means much in watching these.

  6. shmargin responds:

Yes, I’m not shocked in the least that this is a hoax. The whole feel of all the information available for it sounded like a hoax. “This is the low quality black and white version! The high quality color version coming soon!” Why would some guy who happened to film a bigfoot do that? and make a separate account for it to upload it to youtube? and make a .com for it the same day? Nobody, that’s who, except some professional scammer, trying to make a buck off his bullcrap. Now we just have more dis-information polluting the internet, and one more reason for more non believers to think the believers are crazy.

Good job hoaxer, you’ve made everyone take this subject a little less seriously now, hope you’re happy.

  7. bamaboy responds:

I’m not seeing any pupils or even the whites of the eye, it looks like eye holes in a mask.

  8. Sebastian Wang via Facebook responds:

    Looks like Bill Miller.

I agree fully about the tent thing, I’m certain that more than one of those tents was manufactured. However like most of the others on here, the whole “coming soon” angle raises all kinds of flags for me. It’s truly sad that when someone does have some great real footage, they will be scrutinized severely.

Which reminds me, whatever happened to the Erickson project? I thought they had footage and dna samples that were going to be released earlier this year.

  10. squatchman responds:

I knew it was a hoax.

  11. PhotoExpert responds:

The color footage is more detailed than the original monochromatic black and white footage and also not as blobsquatchy.

However, my opinion has not changed. It is not a bona fide Bigfoot. It looks more like a typical biker dude with full beard, mustache, long hair and sunglasses.

Look at the video again and while you are looking at it, think biker dude. It becomes apparent this is no Bigfoot.

  12. Kjak75 responds:

This has, as far as i know, not been proven to be a hoax.
A writer on the website making that claim seems to have some kind of vendetta against FBFB (who showed the zoomed in footage on youtube).
There “proof” of the film being a hoax seems to be that a similar tent was owned, or used by a website that has had something to do with, an alleged hoaxer at some stage in the past.
I think i would make a new you tube account to tease the footage, if i had decent footage. It makes sense to me…more hype means more money and i would be less poor.
I think this is one of those times where the ones claiming to have proven the film a hoax are in fact themselves hoaxers.
I’m not saying the film is real, i don’t know, it looks a lot better than the shadows and foliage we usually see. But i have not seen anything to prove this footage was a hoax.

  13. Dave Coleman via Facebook responds:

Makes you wonder, right? The species spends its entirety avoiding detection from Homo Sapiens, only to ‘just happen to’ wanna play Lookie Lou suddenly with these jokers! 😉

  14. RWRidley responds:

As far as I’m aware, Dyer has claimed ownership of this video. It’s more than a similar tent. He actually has stated he’s involved. It’s a hoax.
