Yes, I would definitely make the classic mistake of thinking I could get rich off this footage.

Or maybe I would make the more classic mistake of holding my sides in lest I explode.

  2. Redrose999 responds:

I saw the movement, I didn’t see the face or anything else described in the video. Well, it’s a lovely blob-squatch, I didn’t think they could any blobbier until now. I don’t blame the kid who filmed it though, I’d be scared out of my mind if I saw one of those big guys lurking outside of my tent, no way would I’d unzip my tent enough to get better film footage.

Which makes me think of this, when I think of my encounter with that odd sound (moose or sasquatch, will never know) way back when, I was terrified. I’m wondering, in theory, if there is something about sasquatch that just makes you scared. Is it instinct developed by evolution because we coexisted with other hominids in the past, or is it something about the howl (like tigers who have a low infrasound in their growl that paralyzes their prey), or perhaps pheromones that trigger a fear response? Just food for thought, and might explain why there are so many vids where the guy taking them just can’t seem to focus or get close enough to the subject.

  3. semillama responds:

A whole lot of hype for not much. I viewed it this morning, and it really looks like a guy in a hooded jacket, trying to pee behind a tree. I respect that FB/FB puts in a lot of work looking at blurry videos, but too often they seem to fall prey to “seeing what they want to see” – right there in this video, they state they had to look at it six times before they could turn this guy into a bigfoot! I have never seen them take a video of a blobsquatch and discuss any alternative explanations. It’s always a sasquatch. And it always “confirms” – I do not think that word means what they think it means.

I don’t know, maybe these guys will get lucky through persistence, but when all of your evidence can be equally explained away as pareidolia, then there’s an issue with your approach to evidence.

  4. eyeofstrm responds:

Very interesting. Can’t wait to hear more. Was not buying it until it turned and looked at tent. Want to hear sound though.

  5. The Believer responds:

I couldn’t see any of the facial features that guy was on about, for a moment I was wondering if we were looking at the same footage. All I could see was a dark mass in the shape of a bigfoot.

If this was a paranormal website, there could be discussion that the figure was a shadow person. Maybe a case of people seeing and believing what they want to believe.

Although, there is definitely something there, either a sasquatch or a hooded being, be it a human or something else.

Hopefully the color will bring more clarity to the footage.

  6. Goodfoot responds:

I’ve had it UP TO HERE with this %#@*&^! You’d think he’d want to get a little closer to the mesh, at least… FAKE FAKIER FAKIEST.

  7. Richard888 responds:

Interesting video. Unlike many of the commentators, I have been able to see the facial details in 3 or so frames. If there’s more to the video, such as sound and color, I can’t wait to see it.

  8. squatchman responds:

The film is too unclear, and is hard to see! The colour might help a little.

  9. Insanity responds:

We’ll be fortunate that Apple doesn’t try claiming ownership of the video.

  10. Goodfoot responds:

RICHARD888: Your vision must be more acute than most of ours. Or your imagination more active. I keep asking myself, “Why would a Bigfoot pee behind a TREE?”

  11. Fhqwhgads responds:

    @Goodfoot

How do you distinguish “behind a tree” from “on a tree”? Dogs pee on trees all the time, and it’s not from modesty.

I was surprised no beef jerky was involved.

  12. David-Australia responds:

Well, I also can “see” a face moving, but then I can see a “face” in the tree trunk as well…

  13. dawgdoc responds:

While I agree that I cannot see the detail described in the video, the way the footage is filmed seems believable. I could understand a person scared witless but still wanting to film Bigfoot exactly like this.

Its not like the typical suspected hoax video where someone is walking along, just happening to be filming, and Bigfoot runs across the trail. Filming a Bigfoot that is surreptitiously checking out a campsite while the photographer is hiding in a tent at least seems plausible.

  14. Kjak75 responds:

I was not convinced. but the HD footage looks better and rather convincing of something ape like.
I also would like to see color, and the audio will be very telling.

  15. CDC responds:

Sadly, this is easy to explain. Halloween is a little over a month away…costumes and masks are being sold everywhere.

A Harry and the Henderson’s mask filmed through a crack in a tent…instant 1800 views on youtube.

Anyone so scared that they can’t stick a cell phone camera out of or under a tent, maybe should take up Indian Casinos weekends instead of camping trips.

  16. PhotoExpert responds:

I see another blobsquatch type video. These are always inconclusive at best.

However, as is par for the course, this narrator always sees a Sasquatch, always! Even on known hoaxed and faked video, he sees Bigfoot. In fact, almost every inconclusive video, he explains in great detail why the video shows a Sasquatch. Of course, none of his narration or analysis actually matches the video we all see. This guy is special. And not in a good or positive way.

  17. mystery_man responds:

I can actually see the detail described as well, and it’s kind of interesting. It does look like it’s scrunching up its eyes, which to me shows that it is perhaps not a mask. That doesn’t equate to Bigfoot, though. I’m actually a little intrigued about what is going on here.

Also, the way it was filmed seems keeping with what one might expect. I think most people would be too scared silly to open up the flap any more than that. Or it could be to cover the hoax. Either way, the way it was shot is interesting.

Something that I don’t understand is why we are waiting for color and sound. If the video was taken that way, and it is available in color and with sound, I am having a hard time trying to figure out why it would be released in a dummied down version like this. Why do that?

The video should be shown in its natural state ad there seems to be no reason why we should be seeing a monochrome soundless version when a color one is available. Doesn’t that strike anyone as odd? Why are we waiting for that?

That raises more red flags than anything else here.

  18. Richard888 responds:

    Hi Goodfoot,
Sorry to hear of your frustration at not being able to see the facial characteristics that others report seeing. Maybe the reason is not blurred vision or a closed mind but the low resolution of your computer monitor.

  19. DWA responds:

    Richard888:

The point isn’t whether a face can be seen. Shoot, when I focus right I can see one in the moon; in a cloud…

The point is: This is crap, from a purely evidentiary standpoint. No one can say what it is.

As the comments – they always do – show.

  20. Fhqwhgads responds:

    @David-Australia

Me too. In fact, I saw at least 2 other “faces”. For most of the time I first saw this, I thought one of those tree-faces was what I was supposed to be looking at.

If this were paranormal.about.com, those would be considered important, too.

  21. DWA responds:

“Anyone so scared that they can’t stick a cell phone camera out of or under a tent, maybe should take up Indian Casinos weekends instead of camping trips.”

Well, I’ve read numerous sighting reports from wetpants-scared hunters armed with high-powered rifles. So, for what it’s worth.

M_m: I agree with you that the scenario is way plausible. It’s just that with “throw it on the pile” evidence, I at least need to feel a significant likelihood that the eyewitness isn’t lying or that the clip could be authentic.

That’s why this one doesn’t go on the pile. It could even be authentic, but read up there, and you see how useful it is.

  22. Goodfoot responds:

So, Dawgdoc… are you suggesting that all hoaxes must be the same, forever? Could you imagine that hoaxers might learn from the mistakes of others, especially if they read forums such as this one? And I must say this again: WHY WOULD A BIGFOOT PEE BEHIND A TREE? He/she can pee wherever he wants to. He was shy that the camper might see him performing a routine function? Stinks to high heaven to me, and more a believer than most people here, because I KNOW they exist!

  23. windigo responds:

Very interesting and somewhat compelling, but unfortunately just as equally unconvincing as many other pieces of evidence that came before it. I can only hope, for his sake, that he doesn’t forfeit his employment in anticipation the many riches headed his way.

  24. Goodfoot responds:

WINDIGO: Love your name, bro, but please tell me how something can be “compelling” and “unconvincing” at the same time! Isn’t that like talking out of both sides of your mouth? Simultaneously?

  25. dawgdoc responds:

Goodfoot, I realized that anyone would learn from past hoaxes and adapt. It’s just that so many follow the same pattern and have much clearer footage. This one kind of sucks as far as hoaxed footage because you can barely make out anything.

As for why he is peeing behind a tree, maybe he is marking his territory. “Behind” a tree in a forest is really relative to the viewer’s perspective, isn’t it?

  26. mike_noodles responds:

I think it’s pretty good footage, I swear I see two of them though. It looks like there’s a juvenile as well.

  27. dconstrukt responds:

its an interesting piece… but it can easily have been hoaxed.

    easily.

And the bigfoot knows ppl are there, yet doesn’t do anything to them? seems odd.

So where does that leave us?

  28. Craig Woolheater responds:

    Color screenshot of video here.

  29. windigo responds:

@Goodfoot, the apparent contradiction was my attempt at sardonic wit. This footage remains no more or less compelling then the many that came before it, and which ultimately leaves us no further ahead than had it never been released. Jaded, I am indeed.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
