Caught on Video: Terrier Saves Owner From Bigfoot

Posted by: Chalupacabra on August 10th, 2015

A man visiting North Carolina with his Yorkshire Terrier was on the look out for bears – until a Bigfoot came along. Fortunately, Zippy sprung into action and scared the hairy intruder away. And it was all caught on video!

A reader in Henderson County sent in this video showing what he believed to be Sasquatch. Spotted Thursday morning near Hendersonville. Aug. 6, 2015

HENDERSONVILLE – A Boone man vacationing in Henderson County says he spotted – and videoed – what he believes to be a Bigfoot.

You’ll have to be the judge on this one. Eric Walters just asks that viewers keep an open mind.

“Either there’s a Sasquatch out there or someone is trying to play a practical joke,” said Walters, who was walking his dog, Zippy, on Thursday morning when he spotted the creature.

Walters said he is renting a cabin on Buck Forest Road with his wife and another couple, and he shot the video on his phone.

An official with an Asheville vacation rental company, however, said Friday the video was shot at a rental cabin at 41 Gold Anchor Lane, off N.C. 9 south of Black Mountain, not in Henderson County.

Gay Weber, chief marketing officer with Carolina Mornings Inc., says the company’s rental sign is clearly visible in the video. Weber also said he’s familiar with the site because he’s been there.

“I’m flattered that even Bigfoot knows that Carolina Mornings is the best vacation rental company in Western North Carolina,” Weber joked Friday.

He said the company has been getting a lot of questions from people who watched the video and saw the rental sign.

“My inbox is blowing up,” Weber said.

He said he has never seen Bigfoot on Gold Anchor Lane, “but it is a great cabin in a beautiful location.”

Walters could not be reached for comment about Weber’s assertion.

  1. cryptokellie responds:

This is a person possibly wearing a costume, walking through the weeds. Nothing about the image or gait suggests that this is an actual Bigfoot. The giveaway – why, if filming a real Bigfoot, would you ever pan away to watch your little dog scooting by and let the cryptid move out of view. The video seems quite staged and ends as most hoaxed videos do, as though there is something more interesting there to see than a real Bigfoot.

  2. Goodfoot responds:

The reaction seems genuine enough. If it’s a hoax, the cameraman isn’t in on it. Yes, it seems a bit slow, but it could be injured or old.

  3. sasquatch responds:

In the long version of this video, the film-er follows the dogs retreat after the “bigfoot” has mostly disappeared into the brush, but THEN the film-er DOES re-aim his camera toward the escape route of the “bigfoot”…
Nothing about the physiology that we can see, looks obviously “Fake” to me. In fact it looks fairly within the general parameters of “Patty”…so, I can’t easily dismiss this.
As far as the cameraman’s concern with his dog?; That doesn’t bother me much-some You tuber/Face-bookers are habitually filming their pets to post. So, it’s second nature. Not sure about this.

  4. Peter Von Berg responds:

Totally phony. The “Bigfoot” is too far away to be seen properly. The dog runs in a different direction from the “Bigfoot”, And really bad acting on the part of the cameraman.

  5. Chalupacabra responds:

    Real bigfoot. Fake dog.

  6. cd karacter responds:

People who post ignorant b.s., such as “This is just a man in a suit..”, & base their assumptions on some weak ass analyzation they’ve made regarding the person in the video’s reaction, etc., are truly pathetic. I’m sorry, but I’m SO very, very sick of having to see the worthless postings of such intellectual peons, every time I visit the comments section of a video of this nature.. It’s truly despicable. This video contains nothing at all that indicates it is a “hoax”, & anyone who claims it does is simply a dips#!@.

That said, the figure seen on this video is NOT a sasquatch. Take a close look, & anyone can see that if this is a real creature, it has a canine snout, & ears sticking up off the top of its head. It is a dogman, clear as day, & to me that indicates probable authenticty, if anything at all. It’s quite fascinating footage, really, & I only wish I possessed the software & the knowledge of how to use it properly, that would allow me to analyze it by slowing it down, zooming in, etc.. Can someone out there w/the proper knowledge & software please perform such an analyzation, & post it as a video? I wrote several times & asked that Thinker Thunker perform this task, but apparently he’s not interested, unfortunately, as he has neither replied, nor performed the analyzation.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
