Robert Lindsay Interviewed About the Infamous Bigfoot Killings

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on July 12th, 2011

Robert Lindsay, who chronicled the Bigfoot DNA Project Using Two Dead Bigfoot Bodies for Samples stories here on Cryptomundo, was recently interviewed on a couple of the Bigfoot Blogtalk shows.

The shows are embedded below for your listening should you care to.

I do not believe this story not one bit. A while back I as well as many people here on cryptomundo have heard the interview with Dr. Ketchum on C2C. She never said anything about this. She seemed on the show excited but not gullible. I could have made a story up when I heard Dr. Ketchum on C2C also. But I am not into trying to make a dollar out of a bunch of fake stories. But this was very smart on the end of these so called hunters. Dr. Ketchum does not say where she got her samples from and these people made one up in my opinion. Brilliant!! Good way to get hits on there site, and a good way to try to get Dr. Ketchum to come out and give people an update. Cause lets be real cryptomundians, Having DNA samples from a NAPE is a BIG DEAL!!! this story is not…

  2. painted8 responds:

What the hell is with the desk drumming?!? Annoying.

  3. Nominay responds:

I think the story is true, but it might as well not be, because Ketchum and the Erickson project are too dysfunctional to make use of what evidence they possess. What C. Woolheater posted about the BBB may be one sided, but it’s a lousy side nonetheless, and to imagine it’s all concocted is to be in denial. The online infighting once this story broke out among many of the players involved, including Dr. Ketchum herself, was (and still is) ugly and acrimonious in its own right. For whatever reason, Adrian Erickson has bitten off more than he can chew (no pun intended) … he thought he could get a dozen or so people to come together for his project, but the pettiness and conflict set in. It has long since been firmly established. Legally and unprofessionally, a paper coming out of peer review with flying colors to confirm Bigfoot’s existence before the world is anything but guaranteed now. Each day that goes by is another day where Erickson should cut his losses on the DNA business, remove himself and his colleagues from all controversy – real and manufactured – and just let the footage they shot stand on its own. The videos are compelling (according to everyone who’s seen them) and that is a real contribution.
Like many others, I’d like to be proven wrong … but to be honest, the more I observe this theatre unfolding, the more I go the other way and hope Bigfoot is left alone as just a treasure for those of us who appreciate it.

  4. painted8 responds:

Listened to the first half. Dr. Melba Ketchum did receive the ‘steak’ from someone for analysis, right? If this is a hoax, it’s easy to dismiss the story of Bear Hunter and this “narcissistic” hunter as a tall tale. The part about Dr. Ketchum receiving the testing the steak is harder to dismiss, though I still question the overall tale.

    Extraordinary claims required extraordinary evidence.

If this is real, there’s little doubt that the hunter went back and retrieved the juvenile and parts of the mother. He wouldn’t leave that sort of possible financial windfall to rot.

I’m much more intrigued by the Kentucky BF footage. Has is been verified that people like Jeff Meldrum have viewed it? Craig and Loren – have you seen it? What have you heard about it?

  5. Nominay responds:

I’d like to correct a comment of mine if you don’t mind. “Legally and unprofessionally the project is knotted up. A paper coming out of …..” thanks.

  6. RWRidley responds:

Help me out on this. The second interview has JC Johnson calling in to confront Lindsay. During the course of his conversation, he made claims that the Ketchum report would be released within the next 30 days. He said it was a beautiful report which I assume means he read it.

Didn’t Johnson have something to do with Biscardi and the Georgia Bigfoot in the freezer hoax? I can’t remember what his role was and he may have been suckered by Biscardi like a lot of people were, but I have to be honest I’m disheartened a bit to see him as in insider to the Ketchum DNA analysis. Quick! Someone tell me he’s a good guy and he’s in no way a Biscardi drone.

  7. Artist responds:

What can we learn from this mess? Kinda like machine design – the more moving parts, the more complex, the more quickly the whole object, in this case an amorphous tale, can degenerate into non-functional chaos.

Brings up, again, the concept that “we” have no established set of plans to embrace the discovery of actual EVIDENCE! Find a creature’s body in the woods – what do we do? Who do we call?
How do we protect the evidence, keeping thieves and paparazzi and government at bay? Who can we trust to deal with the evidence in a truly scientific way, without distorting the truth?

Actually capturing the evidence is only the beginning of the tale!

    What else can we learn?

  8. JC JOHNSON responds:

I’ve never made any claim to being anything other than a “Hard-drinking, Foul Mouthed, Lecherous Adventure Man.”
With that said, in my defense, myself and Crypto Four Corners have not had much to do with Tom since the hoax in 2008. You yourself can check with Steve Kulls, he will clear myself and Chief Dan of any wrong doing.

My vested interest in this project, other than my friendship with DR. Melba, is the fact that some of the crew and I collected blood, skin and hair at a site back in August of last year, and have collected more samples since. Keep in mind, there are hundreds of contributions to this study on a global scale.

Lindsay with minor bits of information took off with the dead bigfoot story. Lindsay even flat out refuses to talk to the real hunter involved. ” I don’t like his picture, he is my enemy.”

The real story as best I can surmise comes from Derek Randles- —

“OK, it’s time to put a few things to rest. I just spoke to the “bear hunter”, who is also my friend. He is beside himself because of all the BS being spread. He’s asked me to clarify a few things here on this forum. First of all, he is not a poacher. I repeat, not a poacher. Second, it was bear season and he was hunting in a legal area with a bear tag. Please don’t ask me these things again. That’s the truth. Third, he has not killed 1000 bears. He’s killed 3 in his lifetime. Yes 3, not 1000. It’s also very important to note, he never gave Sasquatch a second thought. He was a complete skeptic. Because of his unfamiliarity with the Bigfoot subject he had no idea of what he was looking at through his riffle site. He assumed that it was a very strange looking bear that was standing on it’s hind legs. In his mind that’s all it could have been, a bear. When the bullet hit its mark, it started to become apparent that it wasn’t a bear. It did not drop right there, it ran off. They thought they heard it crash in the brush but did not see it go down. Things started getting very weird at this point. Two smaller creatures appeared from the brush, sometimes on two feet, and sometimes on all fours. In his description they looked like a cross between an ape and a bear. They got very close to him and at one point one positioned itself above him on a outcrop. He shot it out of fear of being attacked. Probably the same thing I would have done in the given circumstance. When I’m in the wilderness I always pack a gun to protect my self from wild, sometimes unpredictable animals. There are a few times I thanked God I had it. This was starting to feel like a nightmare to him and he quickly left trying to wrap his mind around what had just happened.

It’s very important to note that he doesn’t feel good about this incident. As a matter of fact he felt terrible. This was a case of miss-identification plane and simple.

At a later date a search was carried out at the site and a piece of flesh was recovered. NOT A BODY, only a small piece of flesh witch was later cut in two pieces, hence the cut line. I’ll say it one more time, no body’s were found or recovered.

It’s very unfortunate that this happened, but hopefully some good will come out of it. I’m probably going to have a whole bunch of people mad at me for talking about this, but my first obligation is to the bear hunter. He’s my friend and I gave him my word that I’m there for him. He wanted me to convey this message, so take it or leave it, it’s the truth….”

  9. Demian66 responds:

I listened to MN.B.R.T.. The Lindsay interview was as useless as could be predicted and did not change my mind about the whole story. However, the later contributions by Randles and Johnson brought new perspectives and more credibility. Now I think there might be some truth to it. Both gentlemen announced that all facts and results of DNA tests etc. will be revealed to the general public in the very near future.

Just two points about the Dr. Ketchum, who was criticized a lot on this forum and others, too. I do not know her and her work but if I am right about the developments on the Erickson/Ketchum projects you have to consider the following points:

    1. Dr. Ketchum was partly chosen by Erickson (and might be others) because she was the only laboratory that was enthusiastic about the project. Perhaps Erickson would have preferrred the laboratories of Princeton, UCLA or Cambridge, but there they just concentrate on “serious” stuff. In the end, we can be grateful that Erickson found an expert like her, who was willing to do this – and if you look at the references on her website she is by no means just a vet and a third-class geneticist.

    2. People always seem to be annoyed that the DNA study, “promised” by Ketchum to be published in late spring, has still not been published – and conclude from this fact that the whole study and the whole project is dubious. This “promise” by Ketchum, expressed by her on a radio show in October last year, was in fact just a guess. It is not up to her when a learned journal intends to publish a certain report. This can last until one or, in some cases, even two years (here in Germany as well as in the US). Please consider that she does not intend to publish her report in a cryptozoological newsletter, but probably in one of the big journals like Nature or Science (or similar). This, sadly, takes time.

  10. AZCRO_ALEX responds:

    @RW

I can’t speak for Jc and the guys that were hoodwinked by Biscardi into hauling the body to the “Hide Out”! At least not word for word, but I can tell you what I learned in 2.5 years of working the situation for the truth!

I can say Rob Price & I were the only ones really with Tom Biscardi from 2009-2011. Most of the guys featured in Anatomy of a Bigfoot Hoax, won’t have anything to do with him for the most part. Including his son, TJ. Now they all still talk to him and say they don’t believe he was involved in the HOAX in public, but their actions speak volumes; none that I know of have ever gone out with him again on the road except JavaBob in 09, before his departure in 2010.

JB was the only one to officially announce he was leaving TB. However he may be the only one that never left~~~The very next Saturday he went on the Joshua P Warren Show on Biscardi’s behalf? The last two weeks JB’s admitted new partner Richard Stubstad has been on the Biscardi show, with JB in the chatroom like a mother hen…

Could it be that JB’s new partner RS is that new investor Biscardi seems to have gotten Well desperate men, will do desperate things and all these guys are desperate if you ask me!

Basically in my heart after the first time with him on the road in 09 (I saw him fake a photo), I knew he was responsible for the hoax. When ever you’re with this man you have that feeling of being around a criminal. I think Sharon Lee recently called him a “Snake Oil Salesmen”. That is a perfect description. Coming from the NE and being of the same ethnic background as TB I think I could think up a different term or two~~~

I tried to get JC and the others one by one to tell me something about TB, and the Hoax, and they won’t say anything except they don’t think that he was involved. All of them basically said the same thing, including Javabob. They believe this, because they refuse to think he would personally put them through such a hell as they went through. I and Steve Kulls know he would.

Only Steve Kulls, of those there, now outwardly proclaims TB as guilty. I think I have swayed a few, by pounding into them what we went through on AUG 8th, 2008. I wasn’t with those guys, but I was in contact with the group through TJ, Tom and others. I had just met the team as they drove to PHX the week prior to meet with me. TJ and I hit it off as I did with the whole team, and I called pretty regularly during that time. ON Aug 8th, Tom was flying out and arrived earlier in the day in GA. Well the receipt for the Freezer is 2045hrs? 845pm

JC and the team weren’t allowed to pick up the body for a couple of days after that? Why, because it was still icing up? TB and the DUO had just got it back into the new freezer? See Steve Kulls’ hall of shame.

When they got there, Bob was trying to see through the ICE at the face and Tom came over and scratched it up right in-front of him~~~didn’t want him seeing into the ICE some might suggest?

Bad publicity is the same as good publicity to TOM. He doesn’t care as long as he gets in front of the camera. It’s not so much for ego either, it’s that he will turn that press conference into $$$. He uses every time he’s on TV for his next pitch to investors. There’s allot of stupid people in this world with money, because he keeps getting those investors.

I wanted to prove him wrong on this last trip, I felt and told Steve K that his next HOAX was coming out of ARK or LA or both? I felt he would try to get some fake DNA from each location. I felt he would then use that to rival the other studies out there and/or get included with them? Is he doing that now I think he is…

I felt he would also use that as a carrot to hold in front of maybe a very old man that thinks he’s an expert on DNA, has a little money, and is about to die (or at least feels he may soon die) and wants to desperately solve this also. He would use that DNA to get this person on board, pay for the DNA testing for him, and maybe even finance his recent trip to collect such DNA.

There’s only one man that fell for that same scenario once before, RS? He just so happens to have just gone on Biscardi show, two weeks in a row? That same person is now talking about a new partnership with Javabob on some DNA samples?

There’s another HOAX coming out of the Biscardi camp… JB and RS are still in bed with him too~~~ What an ugly picture that puts in my brain…

I said it first, and I have been saying it for a while, watch and see.

  11. RWRidley responds:

    Thanks for clarifying, JC.

  12. painted8 responds:

I’ve listened to the whole thing now. Really, if one just removes Lindsay’s input/role in this, it sounds much more plausible. We don’t have all of Lindsay’s fretting over the type of person the shooter is. Derek R puts a lot more faith in the shooter’s character (for better or for worse).

So strange that when the shooter returned two weeks later he only found this slab of thigh meat left.

A few of the fellas involved made it sound like the results should be made public very soon. Hope so.

  13. RWRidley responds:

AZCRO_ALEX – Thanks for the info. I’m not sure how TB can deny being in on the hoax. I saw him days before the press conference in an interview with some cable news network (Fox probably) talking about touching it and smelling it and being 100% positive it was the real deal. There’s no way you can look at that thing, much less touch it and not know it was a rubber suit with fake fur.

So, my take away from your post is that JC was duped by a man he trusted.

  14. Redrose999 responds:

I couldn’t listen to the interview my mac doesn’t seem to like the link. Is there a transcript any place?

  15. thegsmiths4 responds:

With the exception of Erickson and Ketchum, I am sadly coming to conclude that the more anyone involved in this touts themselves as experienced bigfoot researchers or “in the know”, the less trustworthy they are.

I think the only thing Erickson and Ketchum are guilty of is just bad judgment. They have each put their trust in people who didn’t deserve it.

This whole thing sounds like a bunch of girls in high school. “He said.” “She said.” “Guess what I heard.” “No I heard it first.” “You don’t know anything, this is what really happened.” “You’re lying.” “No, you’re lying.”

What a bunch of big, immature egos. Now no matter what Erickson and Ketchum discover, it will always be tainted by this farce of sniping and one-upmanship. (Let the trashing begin.)

  16. Red Earth White Lies responds:

I’m catching the drift that DNA tests are cheaper nowadays than the $10K they used to cost just some years ago.

Without violating any “non-disclosure”, could someone please explain how mitochondrial DNA testing can determine precise maternal parentage AND be able to distinguish between the Sasquatch psuedo “genus-species” hybrid wherein the bipedal apelike male creature mated with homo sapiens female ten thousand years ago, or modern contamination…

Or on the other hand, the bipedal apelike male creature or Sasquatch hybrid mating with kidnapped North American women in the past Century or two, as eyewitness accounts & artist “police sketches” under eyewitness direction have traits suggesting RECENT interbreeding:

With hillbilly moonshiners (blond hair, long pointy beard) in Appalachia.

Or with African-American rural poor slaves or later sharecroppers (black skin, short hair, wider nose) in the South-East.

Or with French Canadian/English early pioneers or excaped circus chimpanzees in the Mid-West (long thinner nose, long brown hair or conversely a “chimp” type face).

Or a Sasquatch hybrid that mated with a released/excaped female Orangutan in the past generation or two, as the recent Florida “apple raider” Skunk Ape pics appear to be a 1st generation “bi-racial” (using the term real loosely) male Sasquatch/Orangutan hybrid.

As the reports of American Indian (some alledgedly choosing to remain with their Sasquatch families), Russian, & Chinese human females bearing offspring after a bipedal ape-like creature’s assault describe the “bi-racial” offspring as cognitave “aware” humans but “ugly”, with often long arms reaching to the knees, great strength & hot temper (able to lift a seated human with teeth-jaw strength alone), brow ridges, reduced intelligence etc..

Could it be that the half-breed children (with “Wolf-boy” raised by wolves type behavior) when mating with Sasquatch cross the threshold back to “animals” (non-hominid “pre-Erectus).

Has any Russian mitochondrial DNA tests been done on the alledged skull of Khwit son of Zana, the “Tkhina skull”? To determine female parentage?

Regarding Albert Ostman “kidnappers” – Patterson’s sketch under Ostman’s direction (?)) of the “old lady” with a goose waddle & the “old man” with a brahma bull hump & long canine eye teeth sure resemble, to use the Creole term, as deformed genetically impure “quadroons”, 3/4 Sasquatch and 1/4 Homo Sapiens (homo sapiens kidnapped maternal grandmother), possibly driven out by the larger purer “ape-like” Sasquatch clan.
