  1. Raul Gonzalez via Facebook responds:

    no close ups… 🙁

  2. Cryptidcrazy responds:

Completely fake! There is no muscle definition, the legs don’t taper into a calf and the head is totally out of proportion. That is obviously an ape costume.

  3. Christy Lightfoot via Facebook responds:

fake. If it was real they would have shot the video so the light was highlighting it, not obscuring it.

  4. vamelungeon responds:

I think whoever is in that ape suit isn’t a very good actor.

  5. Cass_of_MPLS responds:

“Is this a female yeti?” Nyet.

    It is a hoax.

Russians have great sense of humor..Ja?
    Da! Oui! Si!

    Watch for movie!

  6. Derek Alexander Markle via Facebook responds:

You have got to be kidding me…

  7. sasquatch responds:

    COSTUME from cheap store.
    ACTOR from cheap class.
    Russians are finding new hobby.
Hopefully Vodka sales will go down, video cameras and costume sales go up. On second thought these kinda hoaxes make me want a drink….nah, I’m going to bed.

  8. Steve Schaper via Facebook responds:

person in suit, look at the proportions and stance.

  9. nzcryptozoologist responds:

too dark to really tell much details close up would have really clinched the deal, however we must remember the Soviets were supposed to have captured another female in the 60’s 70’s named Zana i believe. She was as tall as an average human and used for labor and sexual gratification of the men so I am willing to be sceptical on this count.

  10. Shane Milligan via Facebook responds:

It looks like a total hoax, but it would be funny if it was real; The reason why no one every found a yeti up until now is because it looked so stupidly human.

  11. Randi Wood via Facebook responds:

I have to say apart from the insultingly obvious person in a suit…not that great a suit…the rest of the film really looks like a news blurb. But if it were real this would be a much huger deal. Everyone in the developed world would know through every news station. But it’s precisely sad looking suits like this that cement more and more to me that patty is the real deal. THAT’S a video of a real animal…and the differences are obvious even without the light.

  12. Randi Wood via Facebook responds:

And it acted like a human PLAYING an ape…not like a real ape….wwhich might in fact, sit with its back to the camera crew…not…be doing a childish impression of an ape. Lol. Id LOVE to be proven wrong. Id love definitive proof of they’re existance. Is it some sort of joke bit for the news? Honestly….

  13. Graham Farr via Facebook responds:

Hmmmm… i think we’d all know about this if they’d really caught something.

  14. Adrian Laine via Facebook responds:

Looks like a monkey suit to me. I like how the camera does not scare it, and it moves into frame on purpose while the guy is being interviewed. LOL Like Randi said….would love to be proven wrong…but we have all learned these inevitably are hoaxes, throwing further mud on the faces of cryptozoology, unfortunately.

  15. BunniesLair responds:

If people are going to hoax a Yeti capture.. they should at least try to do it well. This one wasn’t even done well. What do Gorillas and other Apes do when captured? Do they stand in the area where they are vulnerable to attack? No. They find a corner or an area that gives the best defensive position possible.

This ‘Yeti’ should have been tucked into a crouched position as far away from the humans as possible. Then the fact that the camera couldn’t pick up any true defined features would at least be easier to explain, and lead to some speculation of truth in the ‘find’.

But what do we see? We see a person in a suit, trying to act like an ape. It is clutching the fencing. In all the monkeys and apes i have ever seen in real life, they do not clutch the fence. They actually like to avoid it, unless they have become ‘humanized’ and expect some sort of reward, at which point they will extend their hands thru the fence/cage. I am pretty sure most Yetis aren’t humanized, but I could be wrong, the “Yeti hand” did come back as a human DNA..

But, please, next time people, at least put a bit more thought into your hoax.

  16. alan responds:

It’s a hoax. Pravda just updated. Bad translation leads to bad hoax.

  17. William responds:

This looks to be a excerpt from some type of movie, with the newscast incorporated into this clip and all. That is simply too much trouble for a normal internet hoaxer to go to just to fake people out. Do they make movies for the public to view in Russia like the US? Or do they just have public tv and this could be a tv movie excerpt? Anybody know, as now I am curious?

  18. Miles Walter Martin via Facebook responds:

It is clearly a yeti wearing a human suit.

  19. John Kirk responds:

Pravda have already revealed that this is a hoax. It is disgusting that they had to kill an animal (the sheep) just to perpetrate a really poor hoax. This is a disgrace and the perps should be ashamed of themselves.

  20. Craig Woolheater responds:

    Story updated here at Cryptomundo.

  21. choppedlow responds:

I’m waiting for this one….”We at Facebook Founding Bigoot have concluded, after tens of minutes of close viewing of this evidence, that this now surpasses the PGF. This is our new number one! Come on folks, this is a real animal! Look how it is trying to ‘tree peek’! That is prime sasquatch behavior! Look how the light glistens off the fur!! That is not a costume people, and we at Facebook Founding Bigfoot are the worlds leading researchers and the final word when it comes to sasquatch images, video, and blurry spots. I know that some of you think that we might be pushing the truth at times, or that maybe we see an 800 pound primate in every blurry spot in an image, but we assure you that we are always %100 correct. Why else would we say that Todd Standing is probably a fraud, but we still think he got lucky on one of his videos and got a clip of the real deal? We feel that even if a video is blurry, questionable, possibly hoaxed, can’t be proven, might be a person, looks like a person, is a person, or even a stump; there is bigfoot morphology to be learned. And this is a real to life bigfoot that has been locked up in a cage. It is on two legs, looks furry, and is 10,000 better at living in the woods than humans. REAL!! Also, sasquatch are 20,500 times better at seeing in the dark, 3,000 times better at smelling fear, and unlike us humans, they don’t suffer from paradoillia (like we suffer at FB/FBF). And if you don’t believe us, the high number of “likes” we have on Facebook is all the proof you need!”

  22. Dr Kaco responds:

I just polished off a bottle of Vodka and now I see in total Russian….this looks very real now! ;p
But seriously Happy New Year folks! Cheers Loren and Craig!!

    Peace~Love~Empathy
