Finding Bigfoot: More on the Handprint

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on June 6th, 2011

Apparently the Bridges, the North Florida family who were featured on last night’s Finding Bigfoot episode, have been featured on a youtube channel with a few relevant videos uploaded.

The youtube channel belongs to someone using the handle of 55dabo, apparently a BFRO investigator.

Not that it matters, but I was not aware that the handprint incident happened back in 2007.

55dabo offers other insights regarding the incident.

This handprint was found on the INSIDE of a glass door where Bigfoot incidents have been very frequent around this isolated home in NW Florida. The print is of a giant right hand, with the thumb at the top.uploaded by 55dabo on Oct 26, 2007

This hypothesis is based on a previous incident where days earlier on a mirror image deck on the other side of the Florida room, a puddle of drule was found beneath a window by the residents. Barking dogs allerted them to investigate, whereupon they found a large puddle of drule and a larger-than-human footprint where the creature apparently stepped in the puddle, leaving a single footprint on the deck, complete with whisps of hair-print on the edge of the foot print.55dabo

It should be noted that the deck is on the back of the isolated house which is 8′ above ground level, with a deep ravine dropping off behind it into a climax hardwood forest of several hundred acres in the Chattahoochee area of Florida. This is a habitat that is present in only 4 areas of Florida, replete with deep ravines, springs, and streams. Previous incidents are too many to mention here, but include sightings, wood knoks, howling, footprints (photographed and cast),and “Samauri chatter”.55dabo

The resident is a retired law enforcement officer. She dusted for prints on the outside of the door, evidenced by the cloudy smudges. Negative. The resident shot this short video thereafter. When I (BFRO Inverstigator) arrived later that day, we tried to take photos, but in the dusk, the glare of the flash was significant. Resident decided to clean the inside of the glass to reduce glare. After cleaning, the hand print was gone, meaning that it was on the INSIDE of the door!55dabo

Here is another video from the property.

Um, how do the investigators know it was drool? Testing unknown body fluids just part of the hobby! 😉

  2. Redrose999 responds:

    Craig,

is it possible to test saliva? I don’t think you can get DNA from it but you might find something interesting about the chemistry of the stuff. Interesting post.

  3. lordoftheonionrings responds:

My problem with this family is if your are convinced a skunk ape is routinely on your property and you are concerned about it why not set up a trail cam in your backyard?

Also thought it was funny they quiz you on facts about bigfoot, kind laughable when you think about it.

  4. Richard888 responds:

Bringing a dog to the area and watching it sniff may uncover even more evidence.

  5. Macleod responds:

@Redrose999 Absolutely you can get dna from saliva

  6. korollocke responds:

Holeymoley the crap people make themselves see and believe is staggering! Bigfoot drool??? What could possibly be used for comparison to determin that? Are there other specimens of bigfoot body fluids that we at large are unaware of available for anylasis and lab study!

  7. j stewart responds:

You can get dna from saliva (drool). If a certain property is being visited numerous times and on a regular basis it seems any rational researcher would set up trail cams with say an 8gig sd card and a solar charger and let them take pics over the course of a few weeks and then report on the findings. Seems if this property was the hot bed of activity its claimed to be that a semi permanent data gathering campaign would be in order with hair traps and camera traps. Today we even have game cameras that use Cell phone service to send pictures directly to your computer or cell phone. You don’t even need to travel to collect pictures. Hand print is cool but nothing more than a curious unproven blip as far as evidence goes.
