The team returns to Florida to investigate thermal footage of a possible bigfoot. Convinced of the evidence, they revisit witnesses from previous expeditions and narrow their search to a recent hotspot.

Strange Noises in Florida

Matt and Ranae use thermal imagers to try and see if anything stands out in the woods during a Florida search for Bigfoot. After hearing some movement, they investigate further…

  1. DWA responds:

    “Best Evidence Yet” a thermal?

    Oh. OK.

It will be really cool when BFRO starts acting as if it knows what to do with all the evidence it’s so painstakingly gathered. “We return to Florida for more Southern microbrew” ain’t it.

  2. Jonathan Poulsen responds:

Best evidence yet, AKA “What was that?”.

  3. dconstrukt responds:

    it should have been called:

“The only thing remotely close to evidence us “bigfoot experts” have found in 3 seasons”

  4. sasquatch responds:

    That Thermal is incredible…

The posture and proportions of that thing were VERY un-human. Head low and jutting out in front, very long limbs,
short torso and if the tree was the same one Bobo stood behind…this thing was 1/2 again to twice as big as he is- in a big poofy jacket to boot…

    unless that’s a CGI or something I think it’s a real bigfoot…

    I’d add that one to my list;
    PG film
    Tennessee aerial footage,
    Russian cliff footage,
    the new Mississippi skunk ape,
    and this one

  5. hoodoorocket responds:

LOL, why is the dame wielding a hickory axe handle? My faith in society might be slightly restored if it is because these chuckleheads aren’t legally allowed to possess or carry firearms.

If she ever goes all “Pale Rider” on a tree-toed brush ape, I would definitely consider watching that episode. Hell, I’d be happy just to see her mistakenly whomp on one of her cohorts, like on that one “Samsquanch” Trailer Park Boys episode.

Until then I still regret the 10 minutes I wasted on the first episode of this show.

  6. DWA responds:

    sasquatch:

Actually, not arguing with you about the thermal per se. If one takes the principals’ word for the shoot – and evidence indicates one should – it’s a pretty tall story that one of the largest recorded members of our species was hiding in the woods – and that ain’t just “woods” – to hoax two random amateurs.

(HMMMM. Reminds me of Patty that way…)

    It’s just that

    1) It takes its compelling nature from the way it stands beside a huge pile of other evidence, and

    2) BFRO could do so much better than this show with what – and who – they have.

  7. hoodoorocket responds:

@ sasquatch; Yeah, I like the thermal evidence too. This came out about the same time people were talking about the difference in the angle of the knee bend between patty and humans when walking, and the subject in the thermal footage sure fits the bill for the patty side of the discussion.

I’m not mocking the thermal evidence, just the fact that the 3 stooges are out there hot on the trail.

  8. dconstrukt responds:

    looked VERY CGI-ish.

the movement wasn’t natural at all.

didn’t seem like a real, living thing.

    to me, its BS.

  9. springheeledjack responds:

I actually thought the thermal was pretty interesting–the one from the father / son, not whatever crap Moneymaker saw on his 360 cam…oh brother. However,….as was said above, that isn’t proof. Just interesting. The show fails for many reasons, but…

The reason these people will never get anything is:

    1) They’ve got more lights out there, and jabber more than anyone out in the woods I’ve ever known

    2) Driving around on ATV’s and all the other bonehead things they’ve done over the seasons–the BF’s have to be just sitting back and shaking their heads.

    3) When everything is a “Squatch” to those three (I’ll leave Renae out of this…and Cliff seems to be a little more skeptical), they’re not getting close

    4) With the entourage of camera crews and others roaming around with them, any person (let alone a BF) could hear and probably see them from ten miles away.

    5) When the bulk of BF sightings come at dusk and dawn and they’re hunting at night, what do you expect?

And the biggest reason…it’s a reality show. It’s not real…or reality. It’s a show for ratings.

The best this show can do for the BF bandwagon is get people interested in finding out what the heck is out there, thereby diverting funding into actually figuring it out.

And yeah on the BFRO. They’ve got all of this data laying around and what have they done with it? From what I’ve seen, it’s run by a bunch of weekend warriors who can’t get along, don’t work together and aren’t organized enough to make heads or tails of the info they do have. Sound harsh? Sometimes, the truth hurts.

  10. DWA responds:

    SHJ: well, yeah.

    1) They’ve got more lights out there, and jabber more than anyone out in the woods I’ve ever known.

NAWAC’s research and many of the encounter reports I’ve read seem to indicate that sasquatch are like other animals (surprise!): they will start approaching people and residences when they have gotten used to a consistent, non-threatening presence. Which ain’t Bobo-hollerin’ in a new place each week.

    2) Driving around on ATV’s and all the other bonehead things they’ve done over the seasons–the Bigfoots have to be just sitting back and shaking their heads.

Ditto 1). Panzer operations don’t attract animals! Setting off fireworks scares them away! I got it! Summon in a UFO; let’s see whether the “bigfoot/saucer” people are right! Get SETI on this!

    3) When everything is a “Squatch” to those three (I’ll leave Renae out of this…and Cliff seems to be a little more skeptical), they’re not getting close

When I am hearing too much “sasquatch train coyotes to hunt for them” and “when you hear a bird at night, it’s a sasquatch,” well, all sorts of misconceptions start there and spiral on.

    4) With the entourage of camera crews and others roaming around with them, any person (let alone a Bigfoot) could hear and probably see them from ten miles away.

[Edward R. Murrow Voice]: THIS IS TELEVISION. [Voice off] Not wildlife biology.

    5) When the bulk of Bigfoot sightings come at dusk and dawn and they’re hunting at night, what do you expect?

People in the dark. Who, you know, can’t see. But thermals, oh, they’re proof, and they’re cool. Soooooo….

And the biggest reason…it’s a reality show. It’s not real…or reality. It’s a show for ratings.

And it’s getting them. Mission, depending on what that is, now, accomplished.

The best this show can do for the Bigfoot bandwagon is get people interested in finding out what the heck is out there, thereby diverting funding into actually figuring it out.

Growing Public Unrest To Know has worked before. I have remarked too many times here that every time there are new reports on BFRO they are significantly, if not predominantly, current-or-prior-year encounters. Something is causing that; and reading the reports leads me to believe it’s knowing where to report, and not let’s-hoax-these-Bobos. Do you do that? Do your friends? Do anybody else you or they know? Exactly.

Bottom line: it’s doing something positive. But it could do it so much better, and possibly get something interesting so much quicker.

  11. dconstrukt responds:

springheeledjack – aint that the truth!
