The team travels for the first time Maine. They split up to interview eyewitnesses and embark on multiple solo investigations. Matt records multiple bigfoot howls, and is confident they’ve pinned down a Pine Tree State Sasquatch.

I appreciate Ranae trying to be a sceptic and all, but even she goes overboard quite often (I suppose it’s for the show…who knows).

Anywho…the reason I believe the encounter that the father and son had was not someone in a ghillie suit is: when the dad came across it and pulled his gun, if that had been a human being they would have either took off at a dead run or confessed so as not to get shot. Period. Nobody is that cool and calm. Especially a prankster.

I think that encounter was legit.

I have become concerned by the lack of photo and video evidence over the last few years. It’s hard to deny that despite the “Finding Bigfoot” series, Bigfoot in the common culture seems to be on the decline. It’s not dead, but it certainly isn’t as big (no pun) as it was when the show began. The correlation between this decline and evidence is really my concern. Bigfoot isn’t as hip as it was, so maybe people aren’t hoaxing anymore.

As investigators become more sophisticated, the evidence they have turned up hasn’t proven definitive, and it seldom rises beyond the “well, maybe” level. More eyes, better equipment, more boots on the ground, and we really haven’t progressed that far in understanding or proving this phenomena.

If a blobsquatch doesn’t prove anything, testimony is even less reliable. And that’s all we have here. In the aggregate it maybe interesting, and may collectively demonstrate patterns, but it doesn’t establish much.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
