I have it on good authority that Craig Woolheater of the Texas Bigfoot Research Center and Cryptomundo and Loren Coleman of the International Cryptozoology Museum will both be in attendance at the event.

For Immediate Release

April 29, 2017 – Finding Bigfoot Festival in Willow Creek to be hosted by Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot Television Show in Honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Iconic Patterson-Gimlin Film Footage!

Willow Creek, CA – A festival at Veteran’s Park is being hosted by Animal Planet’s hit TV Series Finding Bigfoot in cooperation with the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce. This event is open to the public and FREE!

Finding Bigfoot cast: Cliff Barackman, James “Bobo” Fay, Matt Moneymaker, Ranae Holland will be in attendance as will special guest Bob Gimlin from the Patterson-Gimlin Film (PGF) fame! The group will speak with guests and review the PGF footage in the VFW Hall adjacent to the Festival and discuss the historical film that made Willow Creek the “Bigfoot Capital of the World”.

Bigfoot enthusiasts and locals are expected to flock to this one-time-only event, which is modeled after the town’s annual Bigfoot Daze event in the fall. Complete with Parade launching from the Willow Creek-China Flat Museum, which holds the largest collection of Bigfoot Artifacts in the world, the Festival will migrate to Veteran’s Park and the VFW where festivities include local Vendor Booths, a massive Kids Zone, Live Entertainment from local Original Artists, Food, Beer, Cider, and more Food!

Contests like “Best Bigfoot Call”, “Most Authentic Footprint”, “Best Wood Knocker”, “Logging Competition” and “Ax-Throwing Competition” will all be judged by the cast of Finding Bigfoot and awarded autographed Bigfoot Casts and other awesome prizes!

Local businesses are especially excited about the influx of tourists as the landslide and road closure on the 299 to the East has negatively impacted their stock and sales this year. Since the Finding Bigfoot production company is “footing” a large portion of the overhead expenses, vendor booths are free to register!

Very few sponsor opportunities are available, so please inquire at info@willowcreekchamber.com to have exclusive signage that will air on national media (and reruns!)

A special thanks to the Willow Creek-China Flat Museum and the ladies who volunteer to care for the Bigfoot epicenter so selflessly! Also thank you to Farmer Brown’s Bigfoot Supply, Trinity Garden Center, VFW Post #9561, Cal-Trans, Two Rivers Tribune, The Saw Shop, Willow Creek Mini Storage, Buddy’s Auto, and the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce.

Spring Fever jumps the gun in the Emerald Triangle. The real 50th anniversary isn’t until October.
