I convey all kudos to and respect for Dr. Meldrum. His conviction and research efforts in the effort to prove Bigfoot as an actuality deserve honors and merit. But, I would guess that even he knows that the only hands down piece of evidence that will prove Bigfoot’s presence in reality, is in fact…a body or a large enough part of one to enable undeniable classification.

  2. springheeledjack responds:

Yes, and that’s why he takes the particular stance. There’s enough peripheral evidence to say that Bigfoot is more than just stories and footprint castings, etc. However, the end game is a body.

  3. DWA responds:

    SHJ: right.

Nobody applies skeptical chops to the evidence better than Meldrum. In that little audio clip is a neat summation of the way a true scientist looks at the world. Shame that so few understand and follow his lead. He’s showing them what their jobs are.

  4. somebodyssquatchingme responds:

Dr. Meldrum being convinced, based on the evidence he has interpreted, is no more extraordinary than you or I finding a leaf, and being convinced that somewhere there is a tree.

  5. airforce47 responds:

    Greetings,

I do concur with all the posts so far. My experience dictates the species exists or what has been chasing me out of the woods for the last 4 decades. One specimen actually had the nerve to walk into camp in the middle of the night.

However, it remains to be seen if Dr. Sykes paper will be a game changer. I hope a body won’t be needed but it remains a high likelihood. My best,

  6. DWA responds:

    somebodyssquatchingme: Well, I agree.

Nothing but a primate we’re talking about here, one thousands have seen and one that has left every kind of evidence an animal leaves. Nothing amazing about it at all…except for the utter denial that it exists.

  7. springheeledjack responds:

    somebodyssquatchingme–

And that’s exactly the point. You used that analogy because you know trees exist, but for most, they see the leaves but they are disputing that some sort of tree exists out there in the first place.
