Interesting enough the three toed track looks just like those of a ratite to me, probably an ostrich, but maybe a large emu. I did a Google search of Wood County, WV. and surprise, surprise there are several ostrich farms in the area! Hmph…

  2. Cryptidcrazy responds:

The producers probably used the ostriches to make the mold to make the track for the show. LOL

Yes, the show is pushing the limits of credibility even for “reality TV.” I discounted this as any kind of crypto show early on–not sure why I keep watching–like a hillbilly train wreck…

However, my favorite part was the ding-dang marine who showed everyone his big knife he was using while they hunted with guns…and then they show him in the water and he’s got a small pen knife–probably afraid he’d hurt his self if he was wadin’ through the water with that big scary knife.

Also noticed that this was the only episode where they actually ever fired at anything with their guns. Early in the show they pointed them at something outside a barn, but I realized the camera crew was directly in front of them, meaning at that time their guns weren’t even loaded or they’d never have let them point them in the direction of a camera guy/gal.

Yeah, it’s sad…ostriches make sense too–never thought of that–good snag Aharris

I enjoyed the first couple of episodes, but now everything they go to look for definitely exists and they put sounds in to dramatize it. LOL

The lizard man one, there was hissing sounds when they were in the woods which is obviously dubbed in due to their responses (or lack thereof).

  5. argyle1224 responds:

I live in Wood County and have never heard of ths lizard demon. Tried looking it up and this show is the only thing that came up. We’ve been enjoying the show as more along the line as light hearted fluff.

  6. Cryptidcrazy responds:

Argyle is right. I’ve heard of the South Carolina lizard man, but never one in West Virginia.

  7. bl00p responds:

Seriously…is this show on the level or is it all staged? I guess if it’s staged I just don’t see the appeal at all.

  8. weaponx88 responds:

I like the show but is it obviously fake. The season finale seemed so set up. The picture of the creature was so fake as the background was quite in focus but the creature was blurred and inserted obviously. The tracks seemed planted and just too perfect. 3 toed and EXACTLY what they were looking for. They looked more bird like than reptile. Then when one guy was peering into a crevice while the other guy (the rookie) had his back there was clearly somebody throwing or shoving rocks and dirt over a ledge right above them. They pulled out there rifles as if in preparation to shoot at something. Oddly enough I like the show but it is indeed fake.

  9. Bushape responds:

I too live in Wood County and have for over 50 years. I am also passionate on cryptozoology. I am an avid outdoorsman and have lived next to the Hughes, Little Kanawha and Ohio rivers for most of my time on this earth. Not only have I NEVER heard of a lizard man in this county or state, I have also never observed any reports or rumors to that fact. The show is BUNK.

  10. fakeAndDumb responds:

Lived in wood county all my life not once, have i heard of this lol,

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
