Mulgowie Yowie File Reopened

It is almost 14 years since the last official sighting of the Mulgowie Yowie.

Now the QT is about to reopen the file into the mysterious beast that allegedly terrorised Lockyer Valley residents in the late 1990s before going underground.

The QT launched a new investigation in 2013 but failed to locate the elusive, hairy phenomena.

But after numerous requests, we have decided to leave no stone unturned in our quest to locate the amazing ape-like creature and deliver it to leading cryptozoologists for further study.

The yowie was last seen on August 15, 2001 when a certain Mrs Crouten, then a cook working for a local doctor, saw the awe inspiring animal at midnight on the corner of McGarrigal Rd and Mulgowie Rd.

Senior Constable Johns investigated the sighting and told the QT at the time that Mrs Crouten “saw something like an ape approaching the road” as she was driving her car.

Mrs Crouten was interviewed by the Australian Yowie Research organisation and went on the record to assert that the mysterious monster was “covered in dark hair” and “looked like a large version of an orang-utan”.

The QT spoke to cryptozoologist and yowie expert Tim the Yowie Man who said the yowie was “the Australian version of Bigfoot or the Abominable Snowman”.

A source told the QT that the yowie has left the Mulgowie area and moved into bushland near Redbank Plains, although this is hotly disputed.

“There is no truth to that rumour,” another source said.

Now it is time to find out the real facts about the Mulgowie Yowie.
