  1. RWRidley responds:

Much clearer, and I’m leaning towards this meriting further investigation. It seems to be moving incredibly fast when it turns up the incline and disappears into the brush.

  2. scaryeyes responds:

If it’s Bigfoot, he’s wearing shoes with light coloured soles.

Seriously, can’t see a thing that suggests to me this isn’t just a man walking up a path.

  3. Dr Kaco responds:

@Craig: Thanks bud. Now I see it. It is standing next to the 2nd large tree to the right of the center clearing. Appears to first walk like a bear standing up right, then it reaches its left arm out to grasp a tree limb or tree stump? Very interesting indeed. But very inconclusive…for now ;p To be continued I’m sure!
    Thanks again Craig!

  4. ILoveSnakes responds:

Before I couldn’t even see the figure. Now I see it though.

But I’m not so sure it’s really a Bigfoot. Could easily be a man walking up the path, as scaryeyes says. I have to honestly say that that’s what it looks like to me.

  5. mefine responds:

When I saw the first video I thought for sure it was a set up for a new beef jerky commercial. Now, with this version, I am a little more intrigued.

On one hand I find it suspicious that just when the subject is about to get close enough for a good look the camera suddenly moves off the trail and on to the lake and then a ground shot.

On the other hand how many general hoaxers know about Patty’s light color soles?

I hope someone follows up with camera traps and investigates the area for evidence if this is at all genuine.

  6. Walter responds:

I can’t believe any one is taking this seriously. You got a bunch of giggly girls yelling “Hey bigfoot woo woo.”

  7. Endroren responds:

I hate to be the negative person, but I don’t understand what, if anything, says “bigfoot” here. It’s a humanoid shape in total shadow walking under the trees. This tells me “Huh – somebody went for a walk and this person video taped them.”

  8. RWRidley responds:

It’s actually an 11-year-old boy, his mother and little sister. This is an email taken from the FindBigfoot folks’ FB page:

Email from boys’ father “My 11 yo son filmed this video. He claims he saw it about 2 years ago same location but no other sightings or other video. He told me he looked out at the hillside and saw a small tree bend. He was going to grab his air-soft gun because he thought it was a deer. It hung out by the treeline for a minute. He grabbed the video and was filming through the window. The video becomes shaky when he opens the window. Then he yelled and it moved up the hill and was gone. It is a very wooded area next to the pond not a lot of human activity over there. We will be on the lookout to capture more footage/pics. My wife thinks we should call the sheriff but I don’t want this to turn into a circus. I hope the video he captured can be useful to someone.”

  9. Mahalo X responds:

To remain scientific about the video I would stick to the evidence; there seems to be a hominid in the path, it appears to constantly walk upright, also it appears to have human-like arm to leg proportions. I am curious of the level of investigation into the physical evidence.

  10. graybear responds:

This may be a video of a Sasquatch, but we’ll never know. The video is simply too blobsquatchy to ever get anything concrete out of it. This could also be a video of someone taking a walk. I know RWRidley said the area did not see a lot of human activity, but ‘not a lot’ implies ‘some’ human activity and homeless people turn up in some of the most unexpected places, which might explain the figure moving off after the shout. Also, the videographer and his family live there and I assume they have neighbors, so there are people moving around. I just don’t think the quality of the video is high enough to enhance it (without introducing all sorts of digital artifacts) into anything useful. Pity, really; I’d like to see a 21st century Patterson-Gimlin film. But this isn’t it.

  11. BluntedKid responds:

I’m sorry but its not real, its CGI digital fakery. Can’t you tell by the shadows? Look at how the landscape imaging is. There’s no movement at all. One of the commenters said the kid’s dad sent this to them, bull. This is a hoax, like countless others. So go ahead stick to the “digital” evidence, there’s nothing there.

  12. RWRidley responds:

They looked for physical evidence shortly after the incident, but found nothing. It’s been dry in the area and the ground was apparently too hard for footprint impressions. No hair samples or anything else were found. This was all done by the family. They did take pictures of a 6′ foot man in a couple of spots in the location of the subject of the video. Pictures where taken from the same distance. Preliminary results indicate the creature is much larger. Height over 7 feet, and much bulkier. However, it’s not definitive at this point. More work needs to be done. It looks promising, but that’s about it at this point.

  13. scaryeyes responds:

The kid’s reaction also doesn’t sit right to me. If the kid’s used to hunting (as his father’s comment implies), it seems odd he doesn’t know better than to yell WOOO! at the wildlife.

  14. Endroren responds:

Again – other than the fact that the kid claims it’s bigfoot in the video and the label of the video – nothing at all about this says bigfoot. It’s a human shaped figure walking in the woods, that is so blurry that you can’t make out any identifying features at all.

I typically respect the level of objective discussion that goes on here surrounding cryptozoology, but I find it odd that this video is even being considered. I guess I’m asking for a bit more objectivity from everyone. Let’s keep the real mysteries real, and let stuff like this go – otherwise we live up to the reputation fans of cryptzoology often end up with.

So please – someone give me something to explain why we aren’t just tossing this out and moving on.

  15. Dr Kaco responds:

Now now folks let’s be cool with one another. If us weirdos can’t get along we’re all in big trouble ;p
