Update: New Bigfoot Video From Northeast Ohio, err, Washington State

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on August 28th, 2012

As Cryptomundian Goodfoot pointed out in the original post, the video published on Apr 21, 2012 by HowTo101Channel has been taken down from youtube.

The Huffington Post posted the video one day after Cryptomundo. Lee Speigel, friend of Cryptomundo posted the article there. Did Lee post it at HuffPo after seeing it at Cryptomundo? Who knows?

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Ryan LeDouxyoutube

Bigfoot Sighting in Washington State

While visiting my family in Washington state, my brother and I were taking turns riding my parent’s quad. He came back claiming he saw bigfoot. I thought he was making it up until we played back the video. I don’t know if someone was in the woods messing with us or something, but whatever it is freaks me out!Published on Apr 18, 2012 by LeDouxTube

**This video was stolen and reposted by other sites claiming that it was filmed in Ohio. That is incorrect. This is the original video.

I can assure you that I am the original poster of this video (check the date). I have filed a copyright claim against HowTo101Channel, along with the other videos stating that it was filmed in Ohio.LeDouxTube

So the video was shot in Washington state, not in Ohio?

Why can’t they all play in traffic?

The path crosser has normal human strides. The rider turns around because the guy is dressed funny and has a stick in his hand. In the video you can’t tell if its an all black rain suit or an ape suit.

  5. krs9864 responds:

A hoax is still a hoax, whether in Ohio or Washington State….

  6. DWA responds:

Great! Now that it’s shot in the right state, I switch my vote to real thing!

    Is that how this works?

Not that I paid an excess of attention to this one. But looking at it now, if it’s in Ohio, those trees are planted, not native.

  7. DWA responds:

    OK.

As part of my “Help the Hoaxers” program I just needed to raise a point.

I could swear that when I first watched this the ‘bigfoot’ was a lot closer to the bike.

Whatever has produced this state of affairs, I have to say that there’s no way a sighting of anything at that distance causes me to carefully/spontaneously crash into the trailside brush. And I consider myself about average scare-able. Just a thought.

  8. Brett Austin via Facebook responds:

FAKE like someone swiped the gorilla suit from a mexican gameshow

  9. Robb responds:

That looks like the same gorilla suit that a guy wears when he stands on the street corner near my home waving a sign advertising “Big O Tires”

  10. Goodfoot responds:

I think it’s credibility that was shot, along with the movie.

  11. Kimberly Poeppey-Del Rio via Facebook responds:

Im giving the guy the benifit of the doubt, perhaps someone was messing with him. maybe it’s a really popular trail and someone just wanted to freak people out all day?? but it looks off to me somehow…like it pops up and runs?? bigfoot blends in well, i suspect that a bigfoot would have just “blended in” and would never have been noticed…

  12. fredagain responds:

Almost every bigfoot book that I’ve ever read, and I’ve been reading them since the early seventies asks a question akin to “Can all of these people be hoaxers, victims of hoaxers, or simply mistaken?” This question is inherently misleading. They seem to be asking can x out of x of these people fall into one of categories (with x being the number of people who make bigfoot reports), when the correct question would be can x out about a half billion people (a somewhat low approximation of the population of North America since these books were written). Given the pool of witnesses, and taking into consideration of multiple report among them (even though I don’t live in bear country, I’ve seen dozens of bears, never mistaking one for a primate.). Coincidentally I do live about six miles from the Sears that a bear wandered into last month. Can a hundred, or a thousand or even ten thousand reports fall into the hoaxer, victim of a hoax or simply mistaken category? I’d say unquestionably. I’ve seen too many of the obvious charlatans, who will remain nameless in this post due to their proclivity for filing frivolous lawsuits to give the other witnesses the benefit of a doubt, and even honest people can make a mistake. I once saw a black bear crashing through the brush that was lumbering on two feet. If it had been a bit darker, or had I been a bit further away, or even if I hadn’t been in a relatively safe place like a fishing boat, I might have mistaken that bear for a bigfoot.

  13. David Lynn Lambert via Facebook responds:

the stride is VERY human ,when the leg moves forward it should not fully extend straight out the way this one does and there should be more backswing with the leg in the rear , it’s nowhere close to Patty’s gait

  14. AcidLamp responds:

    (sigh) Fake, fake, fake-ity, fake.

  15. Gobbs23 responds:

I’d like to give this guy the benefit of the doubt and say somebody is playing a joke on him. I think we all agree this is not Bigfoot, but maybe he was hoaxed, too.

However, I can’t do that. If you play close attention, it seems like he lets off the gas ever-so-slightly about three to four seconds prior to seeing the Bigfoot – as if anticipating the encounter. He also lets off the gas entirely a fraction of a second before the Bigfoot is visible on camera, but that could be attributed to his line of sight being higher than the camera’s and actually seeing it before the camera.

In addition, he doesn’t even utter a word or make a sound when he sees it – he just drives off the trail. We know we can hear his voice (or should be able to hear it) because we hear chatter early in the video and hear the brush hitting the ATV when he goes into it. I’m thinking a gasp or a “holy cow” would be warranted if a giant figure runs across a trail in front of you – unless you already know it’s going to happen.

  16. alan borky responds:

Craig setting all other issues aside why when the video’s running at normal speed does the camera operator veer off to the left but during the slowed down version veer off to the right?

There’s of course many many other things completely awry starting with the differences in distances from the filmer to the sad squatch in the much further away normal speed version and the much shorter ditance between the two in the slow downed version.

There’s the differences in the points where the sad squatch enters the road then disappears back into the trees.

There’s the differences in stride patterns and points where the different part of sad squatch’s feet hit different parts of the road.

There’s huge the differences in arm positions and arm use.

There’s the differences in the type of long and thin stick in the slowed down version as opposed to very short thick and stubby stick if not indeed complete absence of stick in the normal speed version.

But apart from those and all the other anomalies then yes I’m fully convinced.

  17. Boreal Man responds:

Anyone notice that this clip shows two different takes?

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
