New Provo, Utah Bigfoot Video: Slowed and Stabilized

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on June 24th, 2014

Enhancements of the video posted here, A New Provo, Utah Bigfoot Video, on Cryptomundo yesterday.

Original video:

We were driving near Sundance Utah just outside of Provo Utah in the Provo Canyon. We saw something in the trees so we turned around as quickly as possible. We captured this footage of what might be a bigfoot or sasquatch.

Well. That is some cool slow stabilized sorta kinda gray thing.

I start to sense A Certain Smell, one that those who live by oceanside dumpsters may know well, when we get absolutely zero backstory on something like this. Who were these people; why were they trolling along this road with this cam; what did they see, hear, smell other than the gray thing; what else is there here?

Those of you who seem to be into the Binary Up/Down on these don’t seem to ask these questions much. Unless the backstory – and serious follow-up – are conducted, guess what?

None of these is worth a nickel. All of them together aren’t.

    Interesting.

  3. eyeofstrm responds:

I have read the comments about no eye shine, that really means nothing. One of my dogs has blue eyes and when you shine a light DIRECTLY into them at night they reflect red. But only when he looks directly into the light. If the subject isn’t looking directly at the light you get no shine. Also the couple in the car seem pretty legit, the woman pointing out that he might drive off the road while filming this seems to go with the flow. They may have been hoaxed but think about it. Is someone really gonna dress up in a gorilla suit and stand off the road in the woods in the middle of the night in hopes someone might drive by and see them? During the day yes, but at night?

I still can’t tell for sure, but I took a screen shot and did some adjusting in Photoshop. Maybe someone else can see something in this?

She makes a comment about “up around this corner” so asssssuming they had actually turned around and gone back to look for it.

As for the eye shine–yeah, it’s not a given, but I’ve driven enough at night that with the bend in the road, if there’s a deer or something along the side of the road, the shifting of the headlights is enough to net some eye shine at some point.

Still, from the footage it’s again, nothing proof positive and there’s enough doubt. However, I pretty much say that with all video evidence because it’s about always true: with today’s capabilities, there would be almost no video that would come across the table that I could say was clearly 100% proof positive. It would take a video taken over considerable time at closer range so that we could rule out costumes, mistaken identity, and any other nonsense.

Video evidence is good only for substantiating that yes indeed there’s something out there over hundreds of cases, as a building body of evidence until we can get a specimen.

Valid points, all around. I was not oblivious to the fact that the very way this video came about is suspect. Why drive about filming the tree line at night? Why, indeed? No, I was impressed with the film subject (or what we see of it); the lenth and muscularity of the arms, the sagittal crest, the overall bulk of the subject; if this is a costume, then I am impressed. I’ve watched this over and over in every different way (zoomed, slowed down, ect.); we may be looking at a flesh and blood, unknown, North American ape.

  7. Goodfoot responds:

Raiderpithicusblaci : Yeah, I decided to revisit this just now, and I have a similar take to yours. I see the right leg down to the knee, as if the subject is stepping over something, with the right lower leg coming into view as the leg moves further forward.

And I see the other things you mentioned, as well. Sometimes you have to put something away and come back later. This was definitely the case with me. It’s not proof, but I personally think this is the real deal.

  8. Raiderpithicusblaci responds:

I just got in from work and I had to take another look at this.@Goodfoot: You know, you are so right about taking a while to process your earlier observations; I am now even more impressed by what I do not see: no inane, ludicrous gaite, no great, empty folds of costume fabric flapping about every time the subject moves; indeed, if this IS a costume, it is not needed; whoever is wearing it would be quite intimidating even without one. The subjects thighs and calves are massive, the face area is a bit lighter than the rest of it; every time I look at this I am a little more intrigued. Craig, lets keep this thread up for a bit; I am more convinced than ever that there must be footprints at the film site.

  9. DWA responds:

Well, the more I look at it the more intreresting it looks. The backstory issue appears to be resolved. Apparently a member of The Bigfoot Forums is not far from this location and knows the spot; sounds like he may be going out there to look for more evidence.
