NEWS FLASH: KILLING BIGFOOT- New Series begins airing on Destination America- Feb 4, 2017. The wait is over, see the most original, thought-provoking Bigfoot production on television: Killing Bigfoot features the work of the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization as they respond to the call of large, aggressive ape-like creatures attacking people’s homes, pets and farm animals. Learn about a new type of Bigfoot unique to the US South: faster, sleeker, capable of running on all fours at speed through the forest. Meet the men of the GCBRO who are determined to protect the public from Bigfoot attacks and if the opportunity arises, harvest one aggressive male specimen: to prove to Science once and for all that these creatures are real. Also meet the “no-kill” groups who oppose the work of the GCBRO: who believe Bigfoot is more human-like and killing even one, would be wrong and would be murder.

Produced by award-winning documentary/wildlife film production company: Gryphon Productions.

Killing Bigfoot, Season One of the series- set to begin airing on Destination America (part of the Discovery Network) on Feb 4, 2017. The GCBRO are Bigfoot researchers who’ve been pursuing the creature across America’s south for 20 years: keeping the public safe from marauding monsters. If they find a rogue, nuisance male Bigfoot , they’ll harvest one specimen to prove once and for all that it’s real! Then protected areas can be setup for Bigfoot across the USA.

    i predict!!!

    bigfoot will NOT be killed.
    crazy eyed guns nuts.
inadequate losers will be foisted upon viewers as “reality stars.”
lots of bad acting, call blasting, and shooting into the night.
    gross beards.
an increasing dependence on hoaxed evidence.

This is a truly horrible idea for a TV show.

With camera crews and enebriated wackjobs wearing “Kill ‘Em All and Let God Sort ‘Em Out” tee shirts under their camos, there is zero chance they will get within a mile of any sort of predatory or omnivorous wild mammal. There will be two probable results at the end of this show’s season:

    1) They will have shot some farmer’s or rancher’s dog or some of his/her livestock; and

    2) They will have inspired numerous gun nuts to start prowling the woods looking for two-legged prey, putting at risk the life of a) any bozo hoaxer who thinks it’s funny to dress up in a Chewbacca costume to scare campers or get a video on YouTube; or b) any hiker wearing a dark colored jacket with the hood over his or her head walking through parklands, particularly with an odd stride or gait.

My problem with the sasquatch enthusiast who wants to put a .30 caliber-sized hole through the chest of a large bipedal primate in the forest isn’t that the victim will be almost a human and thus the action would constitute something akin to the crime of homicide, it is the greater likelihood that the victim will be an actual human shot in a case of misidentification resulting in an actual homicide.

If it was possible for a responsible individual to shoot a genuine sasquatch in circumstances in which there would be no possible confusion of the target with a human being, and that hunter would immediately make the body of the sasquatch available to inspection by the scientific community, I would not have the moral problem that many professed sasquatch enthusiasts would have, provided it leads to the expected result of recognition of the species and enactment of legislation to protected it from any further hunting. As Commander Spock once said, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one.
