While hunting birds in the jungle, the witness stumbled across sign of a passing orang pendek. He found a line of footprints and broken trees (probably bamboo, but possibly sugarcane) that might have been foraged upon. He also found a pile of leftover fruit and husks in the footprint line. He notified John, the tracker for the Orang Pendek Project, and returned to the site to cast footprints.

  1. DWA responds:

    Gotta say that cast

    1) doesn’t look like anything recognized by science;

    2) looks very unlikely to be faked; and

    3) appears in conjunction with other potentially compelling evidence.

    Look forward to reading more.

  2. Wee Falorie Man responds:

    Well, first of all, these tracks don’t look fake at all.

    It is possible that the tracks could have been made by a sun bear, but they don’t really look very much like sun bear tracks to me – interesting. Is there no way to gather DNA samples?

  3. Adam Davies responds:

    There are quite a few casts to go up yet. You will all be able to see them as Cliff uploads them when his work schedule allows. All the evidence both gathered and already presented, is and will be studied by credible scientific experts. All original finds, whatever their nature, have been sent to Cliff in the first instance. It will all be open to scrutiny for both your perusal and enjoyment!

  4. Cryptoraptor responds:

    The Falcon Project should fly over Sumatra.
