Patterson Bigfoot Suit to be donated to Museum …?

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on August 13th, 2014

ThinkerThunker looks at the Patterson-Gimlin film, the subject and the “suit” worn.

(“Ya know what’s even more elusive than a Bigfoot? A Bigfoot suit.”) This is my plea to the owner of the infamous Bigfoot suit to come forward, once and for all, and sell the suit. (Think they will? 🙂

  1. Becho responds:

    I have a DVD called Sasquatch Odyssey (The Hunt For Bigfoot). In that documentary there is an interview with the man who was world renowned for building primate suits and imitated primates for Hollywood. After watching the P/G film he was asked if he thought it was a suit.

    He said “I don’t think so, because to build such a suit you would have to glue the hair on and that would take ten hours or more to do… If it is a suit, it is the best one I’ve ever seen.”

    If the hair is glued on they would have had to find a woman that was over seven feet tall, because there were, at least, two different methods used to determine the size of this being in this so called suit and both of these methods showed her to be over seven feet tall and weighing several hundred pounds.

    Yet, people choose to believe that it was a suit. That blows my mind.

    So where is the suit and especially the suit maker? Hollywood wants to talk to you. They have piles of money for you.

  2. Goodfoot responds:

    WHAT suit? PRODUCE IT, or shut the hell up! Not you, of course, but this kind of malicious disinformation forces me to wonder what kind of disinfo project is a play here. NO SUIT, NO CLAIM.

  3. Dholland responds:

    Phillip Morris of Morris Costumes made the suit back in the 60s. It was custom made for Patterson. He has discussed it on a number of paranormal talk shows, and even remade one to show people. I saw it at Ghostfest in CA a number of years back after he was on the Pat & Brian show talking about it. Looked the same, and the guy wearing it was under 6 foot, but the arm lengths matched its overall height of nearly 7ft.

  4. sasquatch responds:

    I’ve seen that costume… Not even close.

  5. hoodoorocket responds:

    @ Dholland:

    Is this the suit you saw?

    Seriously? No really, seriously?

    You’re saying that, with the innate reasoning powers you were born with, you completely lack the innate ability to differentiate Morris’ pile of rubber and acrylic fur from the creature shown in the Patterson Gimlin film?

    Wow. I mean, just wow.

    If your answer is “yes”, then it begs the question: Son, have you seen the film? LOL.

    I will point out two features (out of many equally astounding features) of the PG creature. Show me any suit ever brought forward, and if they can copy these two features, I will concede the possibility that the PG film is a hoax.

    1. The upper arm “wattle”. Yes, that same old lady flap of skin your 2nd grade teacher had that used to hypnotize you when she wrote on the chalkboard. The one that gravity mercilessly pulls down and swings back and forth whenever the arm is raised. Morris’ suit is a mass of acrylic pile that doesn’t even define an armpit, let alone a skeletal/muscular framework.

    2. The tendons on the back of the knee and defined calf muscle that contracts and relaxes through motion. I think that is pretty self explanatory. Just show me any suit that incorporates this. Morris’ suit??!!- puuuuhleeeeease, phfffsh!!!

  6. DWA responds:

    Look. I have an airtight theory that the Sun is a heat lamp set up for our benefit by the benevolent citizens of planet QHGGQYWG in the Centauri V system.

    And given all the evidence that has been produced for the Patterson “suit”: I DEMAND RECOGNITION OF MY THEOREM AS THE TRUTH! NOW!

    A number of illegitimate assumptions have regrettably been parroted by scientists who should know better: if these were real, someone would have by now

    (1) shot one (people have);
    (2) hit one with a car (people have);
    (3) found bones (people have);

    …and has anyone ever come up with a reason why those people who “have” should not be taken seriously?

    But here is one lead-pipe-cinch, take-to-the-bank, death-and-taxes certainty, corroborated by everything every single one of us knows about the world.

    If this were a hoax, we would have every detail of it by now.
