REI Gifts Sasquatch

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on December 6th, 2013

Sasquatch turns up in the unlikeliest of places.

Bigfoot is such a pop culture phenomenon.

Have you seen any new pop culture references to Bigfoot/Sasquatch?

  1. Goodfoot responds:

I have declare a JIHAD against the stupid use of “to gift” as a verb! “Gift” is a NOUN, not a VERB!!

We have a perfectly good word for it, “GIVE”; whoever thought to create “gift” in its stead should be SHOT AT SUNRISE!!! You GIVE a gift to someone, not “gift” it….

Oh my head…. butchers of the language MUST PAY.

  2. EastTexan responds:

    Goodfoot –

Amen! Amen! Drives me nuts!! (Sorry, Craig, off topic, I know.)

(On topic) Seems like I see yeti more than sasquatch or bigfoot. There are yeti microphones, yeti beers, toys. It even turns up fairly often in the crossword puzzles I work. Maybe a foreign name is just sexier.

  3. Goodfoot responds:

That’s a better Bigfoot costume than I’ve seen in many “Bigfoot” films and still pictures.

Wait, that IS a costume, right?

  4. Fhqwhgads responds:

I’m with you on that one, Goodfoot. Let me suggest another capital crime: using a transitive verb as though it were intransitive. “Disappoint” and “impress” are the two most common examples, as in, “Fans were expecting an exciting game between Georgia and Auburn, and Saturday’s game did not disappoint.” THEM! It did not disappoint THEM!

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
