Sasquatch Ontario Bigfoot Habituation

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on July 1st, 2013

Sasquatch Ontario shows his habituation area in this new video.

Interesting vocalizations in the last minute of video.

4 consecutive visits has produced extremely rare audio from a habituation site in Ontario, Canada.

Sasquatch are a unique species that are on the brink of discovery. After decades of persistence in understanding, we’ve hardly gained a foothold into understanding their true disposition.

Trust and a proper approach is helping produce some of the most incredible audio to ever be documented.

We continue to work towards face to face contact and a hopefully a life long discovery.

…the vocalizer is in the 8ft. range. He’s been seen so we have a good idea of his general height. Possibly between 400 and 500lbs.

Let’s see any human mimic that last part.Sasquatch Ontario

After watching/listening to the videos, one can’t help but wonder why they are still unable to produce a clear image of the allegedly “habituated” Sasquatch. This reportedly 8-foot-tall creature literally comes within feet of their tent to “weave” branches into the undergrowth (strangely enough, at the easy working-height of a human) and they can’t manage to get a game-cam picture, or a long-distance photo with a telescopic lens?

Obviously, these guys are using video cameras on a regular basis, as well as electronic sound-recording gear. Apparently Bigfoot, while comfortable enough to closely approach the tent, leave woven “gifts” and even call-out the guy’s (Mike’s) name, is also savvy enough to differentiate between an audio recorder and a video camera; vocally preening for the former and, seemingly, pathologically avoiding the latter. It just doesn’t jibe for me!

If legit, the alleged vocalizations, footprint casts and claimed level of interaction are impressive. However, acceptance that they have achieved that level of intimacy demands they produce a higher level of “proof.” A series of clear photos, several minutes of good-quality video and some verifiable physical evidence: scat, hairs, saliva, etc. – would go a long way toward substantiating their claims and garnering legitimate scientific interest.

To the guys at Sasquatch Ontario: if you can bring us this much, surely you can get us that “little more” that would seal the deal, right? Until then, all you have are various sounds in the dark, alleged footprint casts and some bent sticks…

    C’mon guys, WOW me!

  2. PhotoExpert responds:

AreWeThereYeti–Extremely well stated! In fact, I have nothing to add because your post was that specific and well put! Thank you for saving me some time today. Much appreciated!

  3. PhotoExpert responds:

Well, I finally came up with something to add after AreWeThereYeti’s great post.

Here goes: It sounded as if the alleged Sasquatch was just feet from the audio recording device. And apparently, there was a team member in that tent at the time because the team member responded back. Yet, the team member does not come out of the tent? That is fishy for me.

Also, Sasquatch Ontario states: “Let’s see any human mimic that last part”. OK, those sounds were within human range. Saying that they were not is ridiculous. In fact, when I first heard the vocalizations, it sounded like the lead singer of that popular band, whose name escapes me right now. But the lyrics to the music are, “Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor,…

When I first heard the vocalizations Sasquatch Ontario offered up in this video, they sounded like the beginning of that song, well within human range.

Lastly, with all this weaving and leaving of gifts behind, it begs the question, where is this particular Sasquatch doing with all the gifts given to him by Sasquatch Ontario. Surely, there must be a treasure trove somewhere. I mean, if Sasquatch loves these gifts so much, he is taking them and leaving gifts in return, surely he must be hiding them somewhere for safe keeping. That would mean his domicile would be somewhere nearby. So why not do some investigating and try to find his home or temporary home. Better yet, why doesn’t Sasquatch Ontario weave a GPS tracking device into one of the little doll gifts? He was able to weave ballbearings into the gift, why not weave a GPS tracker in there. It is the perfect opportunity and I am not sure why he has not thought of that yet. Either Sasquatch Ontario is not that smart to think of that idea or this is clearly a hoax. And with a Sasquatch just feet from the tent calling out Mike’s name and a team member answering, why not just pop out of the tent and start filming. That seems easy enough to do and with cheaper than a tracking device. I mean, he is already there.

Enough, this is getting frustrating trying to explain to Sasquatch Ontario all the misteps he has taken thus far. Well, if this is a hoax, then there have been no misteps taken and he has acted perfectly. Sasquatch Ontario is either the dumbest sasquatch tracker I have ever heard of or he is a pretty good hoaxer offering reasons for his failure to do the obvious. Which is it?

And now we are back to AreWeThereYeti’s perfect post! So I will leave it at that. We are back to square one after going off tangentially.

Was I the only one waiting for a “Hey yooooooooou guys”?

  5. Ragnar responds:

“He’s been seen so we have a good idea of his general height.”

So, he’s been seen and you have no pictures? But you can get audio? Really? Try walking around with a camera instead of a tape recorder.

  6. AreWeThereYeti responds:

@ PhotoExpert: Thank you. Always nice to receive some positive feedback.

Let me return the compliment on your well-stated response and add: the band you referenced is “Drowning Pool.”

  7. Insanity responds:

To my human ear at least, there is nothing about the audio that seems outside human capacity. There may even be a few male members here that could do a very good impression of it.

  8. Goodfoot responds:

“Yet, the team member does not come out of the tent? That is fishy for me. ”

PE: how can you feel so certain YOU would? I can attest that there is a certain paralyzing effect. In fact, I’m sure I could have gotten a clear sighting in bright moonlight, but I was unable to move a single muscle, aside from breathing.

I used to download these guys’ weekly podcasts… but these two Canucks are SOOO droll!!

  9. PhotoExpert responds:

AreWeThereYeti–You are welcome! And like I said before, I always enjoy your posts. You are normally spot on, but you took it to a new level with this one. Just perfect posting! I only have said that a few times here at Cryptomundo. I have said that to you, DWA and one or two others. It only happens like twice a year.

Drowning Pool! Thank you! I could not think of that this morning if my life depended on it. I even had my first cup of coffee and could not think of that name. Hey, at least I got the lyrics right. LOL But doesn’t that vocalization sound like the lead singer of Drowning Pool? Or is it just me that thinks this?

  10. Goodfoot responds:

YEP. Even droller than this! Nice guys, but the podcast really contains nothing to maintain one’s attention.

My take on the vocalizations: Nothing conclusive, but I think we can rule out slowed-down human speech, because there are some rapid slides from very low to very high frequencies, and it doesn’t sound altered… not in that way, anyway.

    “MIKE…”

    “Yeah? WHAT?”

At least that’s how I feel a natural human response would go. It’s what *I* would have said. What else COULD you say? “Yeah, Big Fella. You’re welcome for the Baby Ruth. Anytime, ya big lunkhead!”

  11. airforce47 responds:

    Greetings,

I can confirm the possibility that Sasquatch Ontario (SO) may be getting legit evidence. Woodrat from Sasquatch Searchers had a similar thing going for a while with “Bob” for a awhile in the Eastern Sierra research area. However, SO goes beyond what he had or could get.

The point is well taken that SO needs better evidence or visuals but I can relate they are nearly impossible to get. I wish him luck and will pass this post on to the group. My best,

  12. EastTexan responds:

First of all, I agree with AreWeThereYeti’s post. Excellent points. I was really looking forward to the vocalizations, but after listening several times with a good set of headphones I have some questions and some concerns.

Questions: Where was the microphone/audio recording device? The video said car. Not enough information. What was doing the recording – audio on the video camera, phone, digital recorder? We don’t know.

Concerns: There was a lot of hiss. Was this due to the recording level being set very high? That will cause hiss but also causes distortion of the loudest information on the recording. The vocalizations were loud but they didn’t have the distortion and clipping that would be common on a record level set too high. The difference between the hiss, vocalizations, and answering was quite extreme, and gave the impression the microphone was very close to the vocalizations. I don’t think even recording with an automatic level control would cause this.

The other thing that concerns me is the vocalizations sounding as if they were recorded in an enclosed or semi-enclosed area rather that out in the open. There appears to be some reflected sound coming back to the mic – reflected from several close, flat surfaces. One problem with recording outdoors is that the source material tends to drift away through the lack of flat, reflective surfaces to provide a depth and reverberation to the sound. Even the ground, covered in leaves, sticks and what-not doesn’t provide much reflective surface. There could be reasons for this closed-in quality, but they are difficult to determine with the information we have. Still, it is something to consider.

I’m not putting Sasquatch Ontario down. I’m for people getting out and trying to find answers in the field. These are just some things to think about. Thanks for reading all this.

  13. dconstrukt responds:

another stupid fake video by a jabroni.

    yawn.

    next.

  14. AreWeThereYeti responds:

@ East Texan: Excellent points! As you noted, the videotape indicates the alleged Sasquatch vocalizations were obtained via “Car Audio” but provides no additional information.

It was only after reading your post, however, that the following thought occurred to me: perhaps the reason for “sounding as if they were recorded in an enclosed or semi-enclosed area rather that out in the open” was because they were! Could it be the direct result of a tape recorder(?) being situated within a car? Say, with the windows rolled-down?

If so, the “…reflected sound coming back to the mic – reflected from several close, flat surfaces” could be the result of the device’s location inside the vehicle, the interior of which would, I suppose, provide the requisite “reflective… surfaces” you detected.

Obviously, your knowledge of acoustics exceeds mine, by far. But I thought I’d offer my 2-cents, anyway…

    Your thoughts?

  15. PoeticsOfBigfoot responds:

This just seems genuine to me. Can’t say why, it just rings true.

  16. dconstrukt responds:

    PoeticsOfBigfoot – HAHAHA…. genuine?

    are you serious?

    this… I gotta hear.

    State your case.

  17. Becho responds:

I laugh when I read the comments that wonder why he doesn’t get out of his tent or take a good picture of the Sasquatch. We habituated a clan for seven months before we first heard them. It was a year before we heard any language. The only time they would come up close to us was after it was dark. We don’t shine lights into their faces so we never got a good look at them. My co-researcher saw one who had maneuvered into a position where he could see my guitar playing. But only for a brief moment. After two years I had only heard them and not seen them.

This is a very difficult thing to do. It takes a lot of time and building of trust. He doesn’t get out of his tent because that would make the bigfoot uncomfortable and it would leave and hide. He doesn’t have good video or pictures yet, but I’m sure that will come. It will take time. I am impressed by the pictures and everything he does have.

I know this isn’t a hoax because I’ve been trying to do the same thing and it rings true to me.

The only thing that bothers me is that he is giving them the kind of goodies that could rot his teeth out. We only leave fruit such as bananas and apples. Sometimes they leave gifts of their own, such as two long sticks laid in parallel in place of the apples. : ))))

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
