Toronto, ON Canada –(Ammoland.com)- Independent Film studio, Minnow Films and award winning documentary director Morgan Mathews are scheduled to release a reality film about Bigfoot Tracker Rick Dyer, the man who claims to have shot and killed bigfoot in fall of 2012.

The movie release date is set for Tuesday, April 30 2013, 8:29 PM at the Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto, ON Canada.

“I don’t think an hour goes by in the day where I don’t think about Sasquatch,” divulges one aficionado. So begins Morgan Matthews’ rollicking foray into the obsessive, hoax-filled cult of Sasquatch. Using the in-the-trenches style of The Blair Witch Project, the film allows us to accompany the adventures of three Sasquatch search parties: renowned “master tracker” Rick Dyer; old friends Dallas and Wayne; and Tom Biscardi, perhaps the most devoted of the bunch, who has hunted Sasquatch unabatedly for 37 years. The teams tramp through the wooded unknown with tracking equipment and ample conviction in hand, the bipedal ape-like creature they seek seemingly just around every bend. As truth and fact tip into malarkey, nighttime hunts devolve into farcical displays of voodoo and comic stretches of the human imagination. What starts as a humorous look at perception gone off the rails, descends into a dark mystery as things get out of control during a close encounter in the woods.Hot Docs

In addition to the movie they claim to be unveiling to the public the body of a male Sasquatch, that was killed near San Antonio, TX.

Rick Dyer, backed by investors (some say a Las Vegas Casino), has the body is in a secure location near Las Vegas, Nevada and will be revealed to the public along with the film, which is said to have perfectly clear high definition footage of the live bigfoot, the actual shooting and all the events leading up to the killing, and the back story of securing the body after the shooting.

Rick Dyer has been on Youtube giving details of the back story and his relationship with Morgan Mathews, he also says that there is so much to the story that there will be a follow up film released after the first film, “Shooting Bigfoot”.

We are only 5 days away from this film’s premiere. Will we see a body as well?

It is the opinion of this commenter that the above post itself is likely in violation of the “terms of use” stated.

    By way of example:

Is it perhaps “libelous” to describe Tom Biscardi as having “hunted Sasquatch unabatedly for 37 years”?

Is it perhaps “opinion worded as fact” to state that “Rick Dyer has the body (of a sasquatch) in a secure location near Las Vegas”?

Is it reasonably likely that this entire story “is false, deceptive, or misleading”??

These are only questions, mind you. This commenter offers none of the above inquiries as “fact”, … or even opinion. I merely offer – as food for thought – a suggestion that some “posts” are of a more questionable nature than others … and that when such posts are placed, they should perhaps be introduced with adequate disclaimers.

I would never suggest, of course, that THIS is such a post.

  2. edsbigfoot responds:

Wow, well, I sure hope someone who sees the entire film will post after it’s released…..it should be interesting if nothing else, that’s for sure:)

  3. bigyeti responds:

It is my opinion that Rick Dyer is a known (to me) hoaxer, and I suggest that this is nothing but a publicity stunt – A publicity stunt to sell tickets to a poorly-made film that needs a cheap-gimmick to sell said tickets.

No evidence of bigfoot has, or ever will, come from Rick Dyer. It would be wise to steer clear of this film.

This is, of course, all just wild speculation. Speculation based on Dyer’s sketchy past. “Fool me once,” indeed.

  4. William responds:

This guy talks like he is drugged. I also wonder why anyone hasn’t asked him to explain the fake bigfoot in the freezer deal that he first came to public notice? Does he thing people will just forget about that ridiculous hoax and believe his crock of bull now? Gimme a break.

  5. not even wrong responds:

So wait, up until now the “story” was that Rick shot the bigfoot out of his tent with the film crew screaming for him not to but now it looks like Rick was defending the crew from a bigfoot attack. And how were they able to make a “pact” with 8 homeless people to keep their mouthes shut? You don’t think they would be on the 5 oclock news telling their story for 20 bucks? C’mon Rick, get a better hoax together man.

  6. plowboy1065 responds:

What are the Vegas odds we never see a body? I want in on that bet

  7. deadfoot responds:

Way back just before the 2008 freezer thawed, Loren Coleman made a comment about how a guy like this would likely be the type of person to shoot and capture a Bigfoot. Sorry, I can’t find the original post, so I’ve probably done a terrible job paraphrasing what he said, but I think you get the drift. (I know that post is here *somewhere* – arggg!)

Loren Coleman is going to wind up being right this time around.

Either way, Rick Dyer is in for it.

  8. DWA responds:

Did I see the word “touching” in the teaser on the main page?

Why do I not think so…?

Jeff Meldrum must hold an ice bag to his poor head every night before bed. Imagine trying to get people to take this field seriously.

  9. PhotoExpert responds:

Well, it almost sounded like a film worthy of seeing. But after reading the names Tom Biscardi and Rick Dyer, I believe a better investment of my time would be getting some sleep.

I am not going to see it and probably many others are not going to see it for the same reason I will not watch it.

Rick Dyer is an admitted hoaxer. He was terminated from the police force for which he used to work. Why? For not being truthful and putting the police department in a bad light. Enough said there!

Tom Biscardi, well, his name and reputation proceed him. That about says it all there. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t he banned from Coast to Coast radio? They usually do not ban people and I could be wrong, but I think he may be one or maybe the only guest that will never be making a repeat appearance.

My opinion is that this film was made to make money for the individuals involved. It is also my opinion that two of these so called gentlemen, and I use the word loosely, two of these gentlemen do not have a stellar reputation in BF circles. That is putting it nicely!

Wake me up when the attempt to publicize this catastrophe is over!

  10. Peteyweestro responds:

If this is true, and i think it is, then all you people that have been hating on him will do what next ? Step all over each other to try and get in close with him so you can examine the body, lol. I can’t wait to see who is eating crow, Dyers fans or the majority of the Bigfoot community.

The schizophrenic nature of this is best probably ignored, but are you REALLY, REALLY accusing the administrator of violating his own TOS?

How utterly rude. Not to mention scurrilous and despicable.

Rick Dyer is either a liar or a murderer, and possibly BOTH.

  13. sasquatch responds:

Sasquatch smarter than Tom & Rick.

  14. oldphilosopher responds:

Goodfoot, my entire comment … and most particularly that last line … were intended somewhat “tongue-in-cheek”. I did in fact intend it as a mild criticism of the fact that Mr. Woolheater posted this apparent “press release” without any real disclaimer to forewarn the reader that what they were about to read was exactly that … and not his own words intending to state his own belief.

Understand that I have never met Mr. Woolheater (much as I would actually like to), and hence have no idea if the statements contained within this blog post reflect his belief or not … though I am inclined to doubt it. I was simply attempting to chide him about the irony of posting in that manner, and then warning the commenters about the site policy….. when the absence of such an introductory disclaimer in fact placed him in violation of that very policy by leaving the impression that the posting might be a direct statement on his part, of facts he believed to be true.

I had hoped that an early clue to my mildly humorous intent was the suggestion that the statement regarding Mr. Biscardi might be considered “libelous.” Obviously, a complimentary statement about an individual can never be considered “libelous”, regardless of its veracity.

All that aside, … and this apparently being morning for apologies … please be it known that I do sincerely apologize to Mr. Woolheater if my comment was in any way taken by him to be rude or offensive. I assure him – and all readers – that I am acutely aware of the debt of gratitude which I (and all of us readers) owe to him for the creation of this blog, and for its ongoing maintenance…. no doubt as significant cost to him, financially and otherwise.

And while I am at it, please allow me to offer my sincere condolences to Mr. Woolheater, and to his entire family, for the recent loss of his father.

If I offended you, Goodfoot, … well, sorry about that, too.

I will conclude by saying that posts containing this kind of information were often the ones that used to be posted by Loren Coleman, when he was still blogging here; and that I was often more interested in his introductory disclaimers than in the content that followed them. Learning WHERE the ensuing information came from, and how he received it, was often very enlightening. I felt that I was learning something about the social and political environment of the “crypto community” -and especially the “bigfoot community” – that is so clearly populated by serious trained researchers, serious untrained researchers, not-so-serious researchers, curious casual researchers, skeptics, scoftics, charlatans, and fools. Background data is useful in locating the ensuing data along that range.

  15. corrick responds:

Apparently none of you bothered to google documentary director Morgan Mathews or even view the trailer before commenting. Matthews is a highly respected film maker with many serious documentaries to his credit.

No would should need any road map to predict what this film will show. A bunch of laughably inept, unscientific, delusional buffoons. A character study. That is all.

  16. Goodfoot responds:

    PhotoExpert:

    “not being truthful”

Very good. You win this week’s Unearned Tact Award. LOL

  17. Goodfoot responds:

oldphilosopher: No problem, my friend. But I am of the opinion that Craig had no need for a disclaimer. He and many of us have been here a long time, and we know where he’s coming from. And to a degree, he knows the same about us.

  18. Goodfoot responds:

corrick: All well and good, but I think it’s because no one here was much interested in Morgan Matthews. Rick Dyer is the general subject of derision, and he’s earned every bit of it.

  19. DWA responds:

    corrick:

Anybody who would focus more attention on these fools than is necessary to change the channel says much to me about his seriousness and his acquaintance with the topic. And what he says isn’t good. I needed Google nothing to think: lightweight, plowing many-times plowed ground that didn’t need to be plowed in the first place.

  20. PhotoExpert responds:

Goodfoot–I see you caught that! LOL

I will graciously accept the award. I probably should have just condensed my post and used the one word that would be more direct–“liar”. I fought the urge. I refrained. I am glad you appreciated my tact.

Hey Goodfoot, can you actually believe that some people actually believe Biscardi and Dyer because of the film maker involved in this? Did you see the post by Peteyweestro? I am trying to refrain but I think I need to address it.

Peteyweestro–Really? Seriously? You stand by that post? How long have you been involved in the Crypto world, like 10 minutes? If that is the case, I will give you a pass for being a newbie or ignorant of past history.

However, if you have been in the Crypto world for some time, you are either naive or just lack common sense! Does that last sentence earn me another tact award Goodfoot? LOL

Peteyweestro, you have got to be kidding me. No one is hating on Biscardi or Dyer. They are what they are. There is no prejudging or prejudice involved. Do you think people are just hating on them willy nilly? Nope! They have earned those stripes by their previous actions and continual falsehoods presented to the Crypto community over long periods of time! Where have you been all that time? Yet you defend these (cough) gentlemen. Really? That speaks volumes about your standard of ethics and/or lack of common sense.

Peteyweestro, you asked, if it is true, what would we do next? Well, we don’t even need to consider that. The last time either of these individuals made promises and stated things to be true, they were not. They have a history of this. No one is holding their breath, well, maybe one exception, you! You would be the only one! Even Biscardi and Dyer are not buying into this scenario. How can I tell? They promoted the hoaxed Bigfoot even more than this film. That speaks volumes. But you just do not seem to get it.

Peteyweestro, no one is going to be stepping on anyone to get closer to Dyer or Biscardi. Hell, there is not even one person waiting in line, except for the naive or people lacking intelligence. At this point, you are the only person we see in that line. You stated, “If this is true, and i think it is…” Only a moron would have faith in these two based on their past antics. Goodfoot, help me out here, I am trying to be tactful towards this naive poster. Peteyweestro, there is no Bigfoot body. Even judges in courts will instruct a jury to consider everything a witness is saying is a lie, once they have perjured themselves. All future statements must be considered a lie. Biscardi and Dyer have been judged by the Crypto community and by their false statements. No one is taking them seriously after that. Do some research, please! Stop defending the lack of ethics and truth by certain individuals you apparently know nothing about. It only makes you look bad.

Peteyweestro, you stated you can not wait to see who is eating crow, Dyer’s fans or the majority of the Bigfoot community. Psst, here is a hint, the majority of the Bigfoot community will not be eating crow. And you are also under an incorrect assumption, that Dyer fans exist. I think a Dyer fan, in the singular, fan, may exist and that would be you. Besides Dyer himself, you would be his only fan. I will say this with 100% certainty, enjoy your crow! You may quote me on that. You can hold my feet to the fire. I am stating it publicly–there was no Bigfoot shot by Dyer! Once a liar, always a liar! I hear circus music and that tells me Biscardi is nearby. As far as the documentary film maker, he gets a pass. We do not know his intentions for producing this film. Perhaps it is to show the circus atmosphere of Bigfooting and the star clowns involved. That would still make him a good documentary film maker. It would not effect his credentials if he has that take on it.

P.T. Barnum said there is a sucker born every minute. He was talking about you, Peteyweestro. Goodfoot, I did everything I could to help Peteyweestro see the light. I am done. If you want to take over and finish up where I left off, it would be much appreciated grasshopper!

Ah, DWA. So refreshing to hear from a mind so unbiased as yours. Embrace everything that confirms your beliefs and ignore or dismiss everything that doesn’t. Thanks guy. You just saved me from a lot of due diligence, critical thinking and that mainstream science nonsense.

  23. DWA responds:

    corrick: Actually, no.

Anyone who does what was done here – use a few fools to toss a whole field off as nonsense – has suffered a fatal lapse of critical thinking.

Now, I don’t need to say how that applies to anyone who swallows their approach as “critical thinking,” do I…?

  24. timi_hendrix responds:

I saw the film at it’s premiere last night and I was pleasantly surprised.

It’s absolutely hilarious, and worth seeing.

But don’t be fooled, this is not a movie about searching for Bigfoot it’s a movie about hoaxer’s trying to redeem themselves.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
