Speaking of Skunk Apes

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on January 22nd, 2008

Last week, I posted news of the Skunk Ape film, Stomp! Shout! Scream!, being screened at a film festival.

Today, I am posting a free PC game entitled In Search of the Skunk-Ape.

Ben Jordan Case 1: In Search of the Skunk-Ape

Ben’s first case finds him in the Florida Everglades, looking for something known as “The Skunk-Ape” which is said to be a local variation on Bigfoot. The Skunk-Ape got its name because of its horrible smell, described as a mixture of moldy cheese, rotten eggs, and dung.

Several park rangers have been murdered, and so Ben is called in to investigate the possibility that the Skunk-Ape is involved. Help him survive long enough to solve his first case!

The Deluxe Edition features improved graphics, extended storyline, and full voice acting and lip-synch.Grundislav Games

The game can be downloaded from the Grundislav Games website.

I have that game. It’s a bit frustrating when you get to the point of actually searching for the critter, of course, as I guess it should be. I have yet to go through it all to the end.

  2. Skogul responds:

If one of these existed for Mothman, the Dover Demon or the Flatwoods Monster, I’d be all over it~

  3. Cryptid Hunt responds:

    Fun game!

  4. Cryptonut responds:

The game reminds me of the mid 80’s games that looked similar from Sierra, like Kings Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, etc. There are some funny comments a la Sierra’s Al Lowe when you try to do certain things.

If anyone else has passed this point in the free version, let me know. I arrived at the campsite with Ranger Rick. Went to the left found the stick, left the stick in the cave, and I can’t go any further. Is the free version limited to end at this point? I have to find the Skunk Ape! 🙂

My favorite game with bigfoot will always be Sam and Max Hit the Road.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
