Todd Standing: He’s Baaack! With New Sasquatch Video!

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on July 3rd, 2011

The last couple of times that Todd Standing was talked about here at Cryptomundo, it was regarding his involvement with Adrian Erickson’s Erickson Project.

Sylvanic Bigfoot and Todd Standing Erased

The discussions focused on the fact that he was linked to the Erickson Project, and the Sylvanic website and his youtube channel had both been taken down.

Well, the Toddster is back!

Posted on the Sylvanic website is the following update:

Since sylvanic.com went public and gained significant public recognition in 2006 with the release of video 2 we have always maintained the position of “Don’t take our word for it, come out and we will show you the reality of this species for yourself” Many from the media and scientific community have threaten to take us up on this matter but few when faced with the reality of the situation few have had the intestinal fortitude to do so. One gentlemen in particular who took us up on our before mentioned proposal has become passionate about the work we are doing. Unknown to us this gentleman is a very wealthy individual and has insisted on helping us take our work to the next level. So he is offering a 2 million dollar reward to anyone that discovers a body that has expired due to natural causes.

This reward is offered specifically under the 2 parameters listed below.

1st the body or significant piece of the body must have expired due to Natural causes. A detailed accounting of the discovery will be documented and investigate by a wildlife officer and forensic expert provided by the sylvanic team.

2nd The discovery must remain entirely confidential. No media or public discloser in any way. Our species protection and legislation is at a point where as soon as we can a provide a body full species protection will be implemented and enforced. It is our intention to have wildlife officers across North America identify and protect known bigfoot habitats before the media and public is aware of the situation.

Once these two obligations have been confirmed the 2 million dollar reward will be issued. The party responsible for the discovery will receive full credit for their discovery the moment this information goes public.

There are currently 2 separate research sites under study by the sylvanic team in Canada and the United States. Both teams are working towards the discovery of a body and if either is succsseful the 2 million dollars will be donated towards a fund that will be dedicated to the continued scientific ethical study of this amazing species

If you feel you are close to a discovery and there is anything we can do to help please don’t hesitate to contact us.

On Todd’s youtube channel, is the following video that was uploaded yesterday.

At the 35 second mark, you can see a close up face shot of a purported Sasquatch.

This face looks very different from the face shot he included in the following video from last year.

  1. Jim Piper Jr via Facebook responds:

Oooh, king of the animi-tronic un-blinking Sasquatch head and or mask is back, lol.

  2. wolfatrest responds:

Still doesn’t look real to me. And a little off the subject but they should really have someone proof-read the writing before posting.

  3. cthulu responds:

    LOL

To be honest it looks really bad. The face doesn’t look right at all.

  4. Redrose999 responds:

The one face looks like it was photoshoped from the Patterson Film.

  5. Kahil Nettleton responds:

Are you sure this isn’t lost footage from Endore?

  6. CDC responds:

And people wonder why I am such a jerk on this subject?

Guys like this bring forward evidence like that, and what are we supposed to do? Accept it?

Literally, you will find better masks at Party City this Halloween.

This guy belongs where he is…on You Tube.

Watch him get his own show on Animal Planet

  7. RWRidley responds:

As you pointed out, it looks completely different from his earlier (or “before” mentioned) video of a bigfoot. Two totally different noses, eyes, head shape, etc.

  8. mandors responds:

Is it me or is there a “Robot Chicken” quality to the faces and the movement?

Seriously, if this is fake, what kind of person does that? “Oh, I sure know Lucasfilm will hire me now!!” Yeah, right.

  9. mandors responds:

Oh, and $2million for proof? Isn’t that what Standing is supposed to be doing?!!

  10. RaceBannon responds:

Back in the 1950’s there was a BELOW B-movie called, “Teenagers Battle the Thing”. Footage was added to a 1978 version called, “Curse of Bigfoot”. The 70’s version flashed back to the 50’s version. The point being, the face posted above looks JUST LIKE the 1950’s movie!

  11. William responds:

If this guy is really charging people for videos and passing this crappola off as real, he ought to be very worried that fraud charges aren’t very much in his future. This is outrageously fake beyond any shadow of doubt and he is calling it real. That has to be illegal when you are charging people money for something bogus.

  12. TheBeardedMan responds:

The faces in the last two videos remind me of the ewoks from star wars.

  13. Mibs responds:

Mr. Standing should bring the Hillstrand guys with him, along with their explosives.

  14. Redrose999 responds:

    @Mibs

    Boom! BOOM,BOOM, BOOM!

  15. jan09 responds:

I’m a little confused. What exactly was/is the connection between Standing and the Erickson Project? I can’t seem to find any non-speculative information about it, other than the Project site had a link to Sylvanic at one time.

I ask because I am intrigued by the Erickson Project and feel it may have some integrity behind it (until proven otherwise). I feel more or less the opposite about Sylvanic.

  16. RWRidley responds:

I don’t know what proven links there are between Erickson and Standing, but it was true that Erickson had an actual link to Standing’s website on his own website as another person who was doing some quality work in the search for bigfoot. He removed the link when he got a lot of criticism for it.

Rumors are that Erickson paid Standing for some footage of bigfoot. But I don’t know how true that is.

  17. Nominay responds:

It is beneath Cryptomundo to give any attention to this. This poor man is more than a hoaxer, he’s mentally ill. I feel sorry for him.

  18. Hapa responds:

This is why the field is not taken seriously by a vast number of people. I swear the Georgia Gorilla Hoax was FAR more believable than this Sylvanic hoopla!

No species is acceptable to science unless there is a physical specimen available for study. Forget vids, photographs, hairs, etc. If you don’t intend to get a specimen, you are chasing a giant hairy pipe dream.

  19. ThomasCrowley89 responds:

    Who is this clown?

  20. zigoapex responds:

If he could get that close to them all the time, why doesn’t he just sedate one and draw blood, hair, skin and saliva samples like they do with other animals?

What is up with this guy?

  21. Kahil Nettleton responds:

The first clue to everyone that should have made it clear that it was fake is that the video is on YouTube. If someone seriously made this discovery with such clear HD video, then you know it would have been all over the news instantly as it would have been a huge scientific discovery. It would have been the best evidence towards proving the existence of Bigfoot since the first video over 40 years ago. If this guy could get such clear video of Bigfoot, then maybe he should have his own reality show on Animal Planet.

  22. shownuff responds:

Thank you Craig for posting this. I sent you this email. Saw it early in the morning yesterday. The evidence of this gentlemen is not good at all. But what he is doing is a great Idea. A lot of us want Bigfoots across the nation and Canada protected. I just don’t think its going to sit well with the Timber Industry. But we really don’t need paper anymore, Like we really don’t need oil. But people are still convinced we do. Brainwashed I guess. Which tells me that this is the route Standing is doing. Even though we all know his evidence is fake. Let’s leave him be so he can brainwash someone to at least bringing forward for once real evidence. So I will not sit here and take a dump on all of this guys work. It’s a great Idea. Since people are so gullible. Let us revisit this subject as soon as someone from his brainwashed world bring a body that died from natural causes. Maybe people will now look a little harder in the woods. Personally like many of the great apes, they like to mimic humans. So I think they bury their bodies. A lot of animals like to mimic humans. Especially the great apes. So I wish his journey the best wishes. Even though his evidence stinks.

  23. Redrose999 responds:

Wait a minute. He wants a Bigfoot that dies of natural causes right? If they’re hominids and bury their dead isn’t he asking for folks to be grave robbers? Bit morally taboo isn’t it?

  24. jrobojock responds:

To protect an animal one must have proof of its existence. Also, “We don’t need oil?”
You currently are typing on a plastic computer made as a byproduct of oil. The amount of scientific illiteracy among the cryptozoologist crowd kills me.

  25. Cryptoz responds:

What do you mean? It’s totally Bigfoot! He just got a face lift!

  26. odioustrident responds:

The Expedition 4 video could easily go viral and bring cryptozoology down another peg in the public eye.

  27. red_pill_junkie responds:

    Becha Wawa!

Yeah. I watched when I was a kid, shut up. 😉

  28. twas brillig responds:

Wow, there’s a lot of detractors ready to jump all over this and shut it down. Seems almost coordinated.

All you skeptics who think they can identify a fake ANYTHING might be suprised to learn one day that George Lucas based his ewoks appearance on the actual description of bigfeet. Wouldn’t you feel lame! The CIA has a budget in Hollywood FYI.

And NO it would not make instant news if this were real, quite the contrary. A discovery of a bigfoot would be quelled at all cost as it would create havok for a variety of big industry such as:

    Mining industries
    Timber based idustries
    Possibly Big Oil (ie: Alaska)
    The forestry services in general

As well as potentially impact a large array of other for-profit ventures such as land/home developers.

Thus, knowing the extent of human greed and how it (fear based) sadly is the dominating driving force, the powers that be would obviously collude to keep such a discovery quiet at all costs. A scenario which I’ll suggest has already been in effect for decades.

Government, which is essentially controlled by and serves our corporate world (despite what we are taught and sold), would be greatly impeded/adversely affected because public knowledge of the existence of bigfoot would then LIKELY force the protection of this species (including of course vast tracts of valuable land), a serious pain in their (Corporate) self interest because of the once again, profit motive.

ALSO, If we then realize these animals are HIGHLY intelligent, that throws a WHOLE NEW LEVEL of monkey wrench into the equation. This then becomes a national security issue for many profound reasons. It could change how humans perceive ourselves and our history so drastically and almost overnight, and just the idea of that, let alone a real possibility, is unsettling for so many who can consider it but refuse to look beyond the dogmatic paradigm of our modern orthodoxy (scientific or religious).

The lot of the commenters here seem to fit the fear based closed minded class, despite their reading of Cryptomundo. It really makes me wonder.

  29. Kahil Nettleton responds:

@ twas brillig – You type that with a straight face?

First of all, we aren’t skeptics. Skeptics don’t believe in something. We are simply expecting someone who makes bold claims, back it up with facts.

Next, you cannot know whether or not the discovery of Bigfoot would be quelled. It is likely it wouldn’t be.

By reading your comment, it seems you are convinced that there is some sort of decade’s old CIA cover up of the existence of Bigfoot. What, are bigfoot actually an elite force of clandestine assassins? lol… That they would be intelligent enough to be a national security risk?

And we’re fear based and closed minded? Interesting… Expecting someone to back up their claims with proof doesn’t make one closed minded.

Next, I’ve never heard of Lucas using bigfoot as a reference for his Ewoks. Ewoks look nothing like any description of a Bigfoot I’ve ever read. What would Lucas have used bigfoot as a reference for? The Wookies!!!

Now where did I put my tin foil hat….

    P.S. Let the Wookie win.

  30. mjm responds:

I wonder if this guy and Moneymaker were roomates in college?

  31. not even wrong responds:

The ewok was actually based on a dog breed called a Brussels Griffon. I should know, my kid talked me into getting one and I see its ewok looking face every day. On a side note, the dog absolutely doesn’t shed a bit and is not a chewer. Best indoor pet I ever had (except for my Bigfoot which I keep hidden from the CIA).

  32. twas brillig responds:

Kahil….cryptobonehead! what the hell are you doing on this website if you don’t have a tinfoil hat on in the first place?

If you knew a bloody thing about the CIA (MK-ULTRA, Operation Monarch), which you do not, you wouldn’t speak a word in protest to what I said about them. The love of my life is a victim of their luciferian efforts.

Whether or not this guy is being honest, or Lucas based his wookies or ewoks is not my ultimate point, you people aren’t considering any of the evidence anyway, there is strong video evidence here and elsewhere and you are ignoring it completely and you know it.

This one’s for all you armchair skeptics and obvious time wasters …

    +O
