Another Bigfoot Video

Posted by: Loren Coleman on July 30th, 2008

Let us move on to another Bigfoot YouTube video. Does anyone know anything about this one?

Who or what is the SasquatchAlliance?

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  1. Kimble responds:

Well, the dialog is appropriate for the age of the boys. My friends and I made movies at that age with a BETAMAX and both our scripted dialog and ad libs was pretty hokey.

  2. NightFlight responds:

I wish BF wasn’t so camera shy!

  3. TaishaMcGee responds:

I teach theater to kids and that kid’s dialog sounds EXACTLY like “acting” at that age. It also sounds like something that my student’s would cook up for fun, too.

I’m not saying it’s real or it isn’t…I’m just saying I would love to cast those kids in my next production 😉

  4. MayLady responds:

I don’t know anything about SasquatchAlliance, but those kids sound genuinely SCARED. Either very good actors, or (seems more likely) maybe someone playing a prank on them?

  5. joppa responds:

Great day for filming, loved the fog. Too bad they couldn’t catch up with dad on his afternoon walk.

  6. CamperGuy responds:

I think the boys did a bang up job. Bravo!

To the inevitable hoax critics I ask you to be reserved in your terseness. Save that for hoaxers who seek to profit fraudulently from the loss of others or those who damage others’ reputations needlessly.

    Peace

  7. Richard888 responds:

The thing that bothers me most about this video is its ‘Another Bigfoot Video’ pattern. In other words:

Some blissful human activity is being filmed. Suddenly someone shouts, Oh My God What’s That?! The camera swings. A chase ensues. The breathing gets heavier. But no satisfactory images are produced and we suspect an intent to frustrate the viewer.

But this video has an important lesson to it for all adults. When you go out in the woods with a camera, erm… Fer God’s Sake Carry A Tripod!

    LOL

  8. mystery_man responds:

Wow, those kids have good eyes, they pointed the thing right out even with all of that fog. I can’t really see anything in this video, and even when the alleged Bigfoot is most visible it is fleeting and very obscured by fog. This video is inconclusive.

If this is a hoax, though, I have to say that filming in fog to help obfuscate what we see is really very clever. If this is a hoax, then I have to give them kudos for trying something a little different.

  9. Shihan responds:

It was either big foot – or a very bad stranger watching these children at play!

  10. Cashel responds:

    Good dialog?

“Gee Whiz, Billy!” “What in the world is that?”.

    “What, Tommy?”.

“I don’t know what it is.” “Do you see him Jimmy?”.

    C’mon!
Their big brother told them what to do and what to say while they film him walking. He probably promised them candy or something.

When was it filmed anyway? Last year? That’s telling.

  11. cmgrace responds:

One of the smarter hoaxes to use fog to hide something “unknown” walking through the woods. The kid that shouts “What’s that!” doesn’t even bother to look in that direction before pointing it out.

  12. PhotoExpert responds:

No criticism here! Just some kids doing what kids are supposed to do, having some fun. At least it is not some adults acting like children and trying to perpetrate a hoax.

The moving figure could have been someone out on a stroll. It is difficult to tell given the distance and the fog.

But finally, finally someone got rid of the shaky video cam and finally used a tripod. That was refreshing!

And it took children to teach adults a lesson in videography.

Nice job boys, whatever your motive was or was not!

  13. thehoch responds:

The tell tale sign it was a hoax…

“This is history in the making!”

Yeah, history in the making of another hoax.

I am a teacher, I know when kids are faking it, trust me folks…This is a complete hoax! Down to the fake hard breathing.

Loren please stop posting these hoaxes, especially when you go and knock that recent bigfoot hunter in New York for setting cryptozoology back a hundred years.

I hate to tell you, posting these fakes isn’t helping either.

  14. AlbertaSasquatch responds:

“This is history right here” ROFL!! Thanks now there is pop all over my monitor! Good one kids, definitely one of the better looking fake blobsquatch vids. We have some future bigfoot trackers in the making only these kids are smarter and have probably already had more girlfriends too. Just children being children, which is much better than adults acting like children.

  15. tbuck23 responds:

you know i liked this…it may be hoaxed but still i thought i was worth a few looks

  16. mrdark responds:

Know many kids who break out the tripod to videotape themselves walking around in snowy fog? The psychology of this one doesn’t fit even if the footage did (which it didn’t).

#1 dead giveaway: the video cuts just as it seems we’re about to get a clear shot of it’s gait. Show three minutes of running around huffing, and edit away what would have been the clearest profile shot of the ‘creature’.

From what we did see, nothing suggested it wasn’t just an adult in a heavy snow jacket walking around.

  17. Lightning Orb responds:

I don’t think this is so much a hoax, more likely an honest misinterpretation of some big burly fellow strolling through the woods. Have to say, though, it is more convincing than that cheap footage those Georgia trackers tried to pass off to us of that stuffed monkey…

  18. izzytron responds:

This video seems to perfect to be a hoax. Although at some moments the kids sound like they are acting i think they are just genuinely excited/scared. Trying to be brave.

There is a moment when one of the kids says “i’m really scared, im just gonna stay here” right before the one with the camera goes in to take a closer look. To me, the tone in his voice sounded like he was really scared. He sounded like me and im scared of everything.

I’m not saying that whatever was in the video was Bigfoot. It could have been some guy/girl walking through. But in terms of the kids acting, i don’t think they were.

  19. timi_hendrix responds:

If it was acting it was TERRIBLE.

The creature looked convincing though, where was it shot, and when?

  20. hudgeliberal responds:

From what I have learned in talking to some people in the YouTube community, this was a prank by a father on his kid. I have no idea if that is true..just supposedly what occured. As someone pointed out,it was over a year ago so I am sure had it been a “real” sighting it would have created a stir by now. If you look at the arms on the “bigfoot” very short compared to the Patterson vid. Ya know, the more videos I see the more I really start to believe that the Patterson vid is totally legit. I truly believe that it and maybe the Freeman vid..are the two best vids that seem to show our beloved friend.

  21. joel911 responds:

Wow, what kind of video camera are these kids using, I want one.

Anyway here is a link to all the videos for “The Sasquatch Alliance” on Youtube:

    http://www.youtube.com/user/sasquatchalliance

  22. anthonyp responds:

    http://www.youtube.com/user/sasquatchalliance

this is all i could find about sasquatch alliance

  23. Richard888 responds:

The Harley Hoffman video seems real to me.

  24. jaywalke responds:

Neither the dialogue nor the voices sounded realistic to me. Even at times when the young cameraman’s lines indicated excitement (“Oh my god”) , the pitch of his voice stayed low and even. Boys tend to squeak.

I’m a professional actor, and I wouldn’t give these young men a callback. Cute video, but faked.

  25. Doug responds:

One of the better ones I have seen on the tube. Interesting how they used the fog this time as a way to obscure the filming.
I am not saying we will never see a real squatch film on the site, but it would seem that something really conclusive will wind up at a major scientific instituion
    before it would there.

  26. RastaLife32 responds:

Good video, but I still think it is a hoax. When the kid explains what the other two kids are doing that is the first giveaway. The second giveaway is when he says “this is history”, maybe he really would say that if he saw a Bigfoot, but chances are that he would not. The last piece that seems strange is when he starts breathing heavily out of no where. Bigfoot might be an amazing sight, but I don’t think he would induce a heart attack or something that seemed like a heart attack. Good video though for the kids. Big Up!

  27. purrlcat responds:

What about FOOTPRINTS? There seemed to be enough snow on the ground to see footprints of something that big walking about. That’s what I would have been concentrating on, to find and FOLLOW the footprints!

  28. dogu4 responds:

Let’s just say, for the sake of discussion, that this video IS real, regardless that kids almost never use tripods (but in this case they did) and the comment about “making history” was in fact a line that the kid said ‘cuz he’d been coincidentally thinking about it, and that the pull away from the image was a legitimate attempt to get a better view…sorta like R Patterson did in ’67…and even if it weren’t foggy and the image were clear as a bell…what would we have? The immediate response would be “it’s too perfect! It looks too good…we all know what can be done with modern editing tech.” There is no winning in this pursuit if one thinks it’s just a matter of getting “better” imagery.
Until one takes what tantalizing evidence that exists and comes up with a truely workable concept of what it is a researcher is setting out to do, I’m afraid all these efforts will amount to very little other than argument. The the elusive “BF meets logging truck” scenario is more likely, and I don’t think that’s very likely either, though regrettably, I do have my fingers crossed.
I hold the opinion that there’s much about how animals behave in the wild that remains mysterious. Modern technology however, is quickly advancing to the stage where a comprehensive long term survey of large inhabited landscapes to identify and analyze the movements of the larger resident wildlife (BF if any) will be able to be conducted remotely, without the researcher being detected and without altering the behaviors of the animals being researched. Certainly we’d learn something about the relationships of many animals in a comprehensive observational survey like that and If an unknown creature is within that landscape a researcher might be able to deduce something about its actual behavior besides “second guessing” and from that, use reasonable prediction to gather supporting evidence that would meet the objective criteria science needs for it to accept assertions as contrary to common sense as the notion of living BF. Ideally, even non-believers could use the same protocol and achieve the same results. But camping expeditions with night view goggles and trail cams, glow sticks, pinwheels..heh heh…I don’t think humans realize just how noisy and smelly they really are, nor how situationally aware an intelligent creature who values their stealth will naturally be. One might catch a glimps of them while they’re unaware occassionally, or perhaps encounters with individual BF that harbor some mental or physical abnormality that precipitates unusual/atypical behaviors, and I think this accounts for most sightings and encounters, but since those situations would be by definition “non-reproducable” it will propell the believers but not convince the others.
In the mean time, the unexpected can happen at any moment, and I’d rather be lucky than good.

  29. Artist responds:

thehoch – “I hate to tell you, posting these fakes isn’t helping…”

And you’re a teacher? How do we teach Cryptomundians and the world at large about the Sasquatch enigma, and what the creature may (and may not) look like in the field and on videos, without showing the videos, real or not?

Today’s complex technology’s ability to create and manipulate and publish and view and review and evaluate and critique and discuss and TEACH would be useless if we only had access to proven images! And in cryptozoology, proven images are difficult to come by, so we have to research, and that’s the value of even these questionable videos and photos.

dogu4 sez above – “I hold the opinion that there’s much about how animals behave in the wild that remains mysterious. Modern technology however, is quickly advancing to the stage where a comprehensive long term survey of large inhabited landscapes to identify and analyze the movements of the larger resident wildlife (BF if any) will be able to be conducted remotely, without the researcher being detected and without altering the behaviors of the animals being researched.”

Wonderful! But what good would it do if nobody ever looks at them, or publishes the critical and cryptic ones for evaluation?

Sure, there will always be the idiots’ hoaxes and the obscure, fleeting movements in the fog, but there are also gems hidden in the rubble. Viva Cryptomundo’s willingness to publish everything, the better to LEARN!

  30. Sharmz responds:

If I’m not mistaken, sasquatchalliance found the video elsewhere but he uploaded it to Youtube because no one had uploaded it there. Correct me if I’m wrong.

  31. Sharmz responds:

Err I was wrong. Sasquatchalliance found it on Youtube and re-uploaded it there

  32. sschaper responds:

Most believable kids so far. Christmas afternoon, out with the new camcorder.

But as others have noted the figure in the fog doesn’t seem to be an actual Nape.

  33. sasquatchalliance responds:

i am the uploader of this video, sasquatchalliance. i put video evidence of bigfoot on youtube for others to see and decide for themselves if bigfoot is real or not. and i did re-upload this on youtube, to findthe original search official bigfoot sighting. and i think it’s real.

  34. Holmes responds:

I’d rather be famous for filming a real Bigfoot instead of filming a bad fake one.

  35. ClassicRocker30 responds:

IF I ever see bigfoot, and I have a camera with good quality I am getting as close as possible. Its more likely to run then attack me so why not take some risks.

  36. Kirsty08 responds:

It is hard to decipher if this video is fake or not, as the fog clearly disadvantages you from trying to get a clear shot of the presumed bigfoot which, in the case supporting a fake would be a big factor. I kept on looking at the part of the video that provided the clearest view of the bigfoot which, was near the start of the footage when the kid first saw it in the woods. It is still hard to give an exact description of what the figure is but from what I could make out it’s posture and gait did appear more human like than that of the gait demonstrated in footage such as the patterson/gimlin film.

Also it’s figure appeared to look thicker around the torso region then cut off around the leg region where it looks slightly/noticeably thinner, it looked like it gave the impression of a man wearing a coat perhaps?

I tried to see if by looking at the nearby trees it passes, if you could get a rough size estimate of the creature but, it is hard to guess just how close to the trees it is but to me it appears to be probably human size.

It would be nice to know if there was any way of making the picture clearer, in order to get a clean shot of the bigfoot but until then I would probably say it most likely is a fake.

I hope my comment is ok, I only joined today and am pretty new to this but I am a budding cryptozoologist and find this site brilliant for anyone like me.

P.s. Loren I read your article in the TAPS paranormal magazine entitled ‘Bluff Creeks Reputation Massacre’ I found it to be a very interesting read and a great article and I look forward to reading more of your articles in future issues.

  37. mystery_man responds:

Kirsty08- I’d say your comment is great! Nice, thoughtful analysis of what you saw in the video. Welcome to the site!

  38. Kirsty08 responds:

mystery_man thankyou for your comment, I appreciate it. 🙂

  39. Crazy Dave responds:

Its look very credible for the first 30 seconds i thought it was kids acting saying they saw somthing until the kid with the camera sees it and you can hear his heavy breathing signalling hes scared unless those kids are actors and have a very good bigfoot costume or this is real
