“Black Leopard” Video Analyzed

Posted by: Loren Coleman on February 9th, 2012

A recent video of one of those mysterious Alien Big Cat, specifically a cryptid Black Leopard, taken in Stroud, UK, is analyzed:

The Sun mentioned that…

The film was taken by teaching assistant Coryn Memory close to the site of a recent spate of deer killings.

But it was not an isolated sighting. Coryn, 45, says she has seen the animal, described as a “slim, black leopard” in a valley outside Stroud, Gloucs, FIVE TIMES — before finally getting the evidence on film.

She said: “It was around for about 20 minutes and luckily I had my camera. It was probably 300 yards away and I don’t think it was aware I was there.

“It came in and out of the field and at one point seemed to be having a root around, probably for small animals.

Wildlife expert Frank Tunbridge’s felid cutout video is superimposed on the original.

    Felis domesticus.

  2. Steve Schaper via Facebook responds:

    domestic cat.

  3. Cryptidcrazy responds:

That thing looks like a domestic cat, but runs like a canine.

  4. Reverend responds:

Well, it’s clearly not Felis domesticus is it? What with it being 2 feet long, plus tail. It’s not a panther, of course, but it’s definitely much bigger than the domestic cat.

Love how you all just write that one off even though a wildlife expert and a University Professor have done a fairly thorough analysis of the video and compared the size with overlays of their cutout.

  5. koipond responds:

Well, it’s clearly not Felis domesticus is it? What with it being 2 feet long, plus tail- oh wait the largest domestic cat named by Guinness just 4 onths is more then 4 feat long.

  6. koipond responds:

Gah! hit the button too soon

Well, it’s clearly not Felis domesticus is it? What with it being 2 feet long, plus tail- oh wait the largest domestic cat named by Guinness just 4 months ago is more then 4 feet long.

These animals are real in Britain. I have seen one myself. The one in this video looks smaller. I saw one which was almost certainly a leopard or puma in terms of size. Fully grown adult with black fur. Incident occurred in 2006 near Reading, Berkshire, England. I got no response from the authorities after contacting them.

  8. Reverend responds:

Ah, Koipond, so you’re saying that it’s a world record breaking domestic cat then 🙂

  9. chadgatlin responds:

I don’t know if this a domestic cat or not, but I know big black cats are real. I have seen two myself. I didn’t even know that it was disputed as existing and considered a cryptid until I saw an episode of MonsterQuest about them a few years ago. If I had known I would have told more people about it when I saw them. Most people I know accept them as real like any other animal out here. It’s just something you don’t see a lot, but you know it’s there. You don’t see bobcats a lot either, but you know that they are there.
