According to the Associated Press, Bill Clinton speaking in Macon, Georgia, on Monday, January 21, 2008, played the cryptozoology card!

The AP is reporting: “Bill Clinton doesn’t want to become the White House’s Sasquatch.”

The news service noted the former president says it would be a mistake for him to have a specific job if he were to return to Washington D.C. with a new Clinton administration.

In remarks to reporters, Clinton said:

I’d be like the Abominable Snowman. I’d be Bigfooting everybody even if I tried not to. There’s almost no way you can avoid that. Whatever I do should be totally transparent.Bill Clinton, January 21, 2008.

Asked if he would live in the White House, Clinton said, “I would anticipate being there, unless you know something I don’t.”

What do you think Clinton meant by “Bigfooting” everyone?

What is obvious is the Clintons are after the cryptozoology vote now too ~ just as they were in pursuit of the ufological one in the past.

(I’m kidding about the “going after the cz vote” but not about the actual quotations from Bill Clinton today.)

    …that he’s either a show off, or a wishful thinker? 🙂

  2. yetifan responds:

I’m just stunned Clinton used the term “Bigfooting”. Simply awesome.

  3. Ceroill responds:

I think it means he feels it would be hard to ignore him, and even if he tried to be subtle or easy going, others would feel like he was stomping around and being a pain.

  4. bill green responds:

  5. graybear responds:

  6. Artist responds:

    Double Gah!!

  7. DARHOP responds:

Well that definately does it. She has my vote. How could you not vote for someone with the Biguns backing em.
For real though, I don’t vote. Don’t feel like my vote matters or counts. The whole electorial thing ya know. Politics is a strange thing. I see it every day here at work. I am not a politician, I work with many though. And in the 8 years I’ve been hear. One thing I’ve learned is, it doesn’t always matter how peaple vote on an issue. Anyway, I don’t want to get started on politics.

  8. CamperGuy responds:

I remember Janet Reno frequently being referred to unkindly as Sasquatch in political chat rooms during the Clinton administration.

I’ve no idea what bigfooting someone could posibly mean.

I wonder if he is trying to say as a former president living in the White House that his status would be imposing and possibly have more impact than it should as well as his natural desire to be involved thus his “transparency statement”. Total guess.

A Bigfoot endorsement should get the environmentalist vote.

  9. silvereagle responds:

And with that statement, Bill Clinton just GOT BANNED FROM VIRTUALLY EVERY BIGFOOT CHAT ROOM IN THE COUNTRY.  Obviously Bill Clinton had access to the TOP SECRET DoD Bigfoot captivity study performed during the 60’s, at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories.  Essentially, Bill appears to mean that “he will be a neutral observer but he will remain invisible despite pleas for him to do otherwise”.  Since transparent means invisible in most English dictionaries, this is a major blow below the belt for just about every Bigfoot researcher in the United States of America.  They will eventually get over it, just like a blow below the belt.  But not without feeling like everything that they believed in, had just come crashing down.

  10. corrick responds:

Great photo from The Weekly World News. Cryptozoology and supermarket check-out lanes will never be the same since it ceased publication. Who can ever forget “BatBoy!” Not me.

  11. kittenz responds:

“Can’t ANYTHING make Bill Clinton go away?”

I sure hope not! I want Bill back!

  12. YarriWarrior responds:

I want Bill back in Arkansas. I think his comments hurt cryptozoology. Argh….Yarri

  13. Ann Unknown responds:

What do you think Clinton meant by “Bigfooting” everyone?

It means that HE thinks that he has really BIG FEET
    (the conceited, egotistical braggart).
And that, for this reason, we should all vote for Hillary.

    Equal time call:

Instead, I plan to cast my usual, futile, protest vote for the Libertarians. Both big U.S. parties will, no doubt, call a screeching halt to the entire democratic process, and launch an immediate, bi-partisan investigation to discover why there was ONE vote missing. That’ll show ’em! 😉

  14. windigo responds:

Where is Bigfoot’s left hand, and why is she smiling? Well, I guess they really are bedfellows.
