Strange Track Discovered at Lake Worth

What do you think this is? Add your thoughts to the “comments” below. (I especially like the one left at Facebook, saying this is firm evidence that cryptids are now leaving one dollar bills along their trackways.)

This print was found in the “Pit” where the original Lake Worth Monster was first seen in 1969. See “Lake Worth Monster Revisited” and “Lake Worth Monster Resurfaces.”

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  1. Lyall M responds:

The “handprint” lets you know that the researcher is rather small based on the size of the dollar bill – did anyone measure the distance between bills for the stride lenght?

  2. Goodfoot responds:

WOW! Somebody’s really good at walking on his hands.

  3. Kenji responds:

    It’s a bear.

  4. DWA responds:

Um….homo sapiens, making unsuccessful attempt to pick up dollar bill…?

  5. volmar responds:

Looks a bit like a human left hand…

  6. cryptokellie responds:

‘BREAKING NEWS”…While on vacation in Texas, the girls from Johor participated in a Lake Worth bikini photo-shoot. A local, witnessing the event, bet his friend a dollar that he could get a date with Sissy whereupon the friend bit his thumb off. Film at eleven.

  7. Sean Whitley via Facebook responds:

The Lake Worth Monster is paying someone back the $1 they loaned him/it years ago?

  8. squatchman responds:

It might be a sasquatch handprint, but probably not. It’s too small!

  9. vamelungeon responds:

    Bear print.

  10. Goodfoot responds:

vamelungeon: a bear that can land and take off with one paw? Where are the other tracks?

  11. Goodfoot responds:

I guess the monster didn’t get the memo about interest.

  12. BukitTimahMonkeyMan responds:

Why is there a single isolated print?Perhaps the creature could fly or jump incredible distances. The creature’s foot is about 15.6cm long which makes its foot slightly larger than my foot.In other words, the creature should be slightly larger than a 12 year old boy. Also,it has four long toes and there’s a small indentation at the side as if one of its toes was broken off.The most likely possibility is that the creature was injured badly or that this is a stupid hoax.

  13. moonrocketman responds:

While investigating this creature for years with Sallie Clark, I have never seen anything so fake for I have encountered much better prints in this Nature preserve.
