Bigfoot Museum Selling 9.5′ Sasquatch Sculptures

Posted by: Loren Coleman on February 20th, 2010

Michael Rugg of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum has passed along the news that he’s selling some of his Bigfoot sculptures. (Too bad there’s no one driving from California to Maine with a truck to carry one of ’em out to Portland, Maine’s International Cryptozoology Museum. We could save one of these pieces for public display on the East Coast.)

If you are seriously interested, please consider Mike’s following ad that is now in Craigslist:

Bigfoot – sasquatch life-sized models (9.5′ tall) made for the Bigfoot Mystery Museum in Seattle in 1976, and currently on display at the Bigfoot Discovery Museum in Felton, California. Head/neck, torso, hips/legs and arms are indusrial paper mache covered in brown faux fur cloth. The hands are styrofoam, the feet cement and the face is wax. We have two available for sale: (1) prime condition $999, (2) needs repairs $499. Must be picked up (can’t be shipped)

Since you have to pick up the piece you might buy and thus you may wish to see it in person, here’s the address and contact info:

Sadly, this description could fit in well in the personals section of Craigslist, too. 🙂

And as someone in the logistics field, I take great offense with their claim that these can’t be shipped. ANYTHING can be shipped. They’re even in luck that at this time of year Bigfoot wouldn’t need to be shipped via refrigerated truck to keep that wax face from melting.

Sounds like they are auctioning Kathy Lee Gifford. Just kidding.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
