La Mémoire Du Yéti

Posted by: Loren Coleman on November 19th, 2009

My rough translation hope it helps

Turned with Nepal, this documentary investigation into the myth, the legends and testimonys of the sherpas on the yéti. There exists with the Museum of Natural history of Paris a file on which is registered “unknown species”. This file contains a simple arrived hair of Nepal several decades ago. It is a hair of yéti! Then, the question arises: the yéti did there really exist or is this simply a legend? “Like Karen Blixen, I could say: formerly I had a house in Nepal. It is that I always have it and having lived years in this country, I could interest me of close with this mystery. I take you along in one of the most fabulous decorations of our planet, the Himalayas, to seek with me traces, accounts and sometimes of testimonys on this mythical animal. These is the spiritual universe which opens then on imaginary sherpas. The border between reality is the unreal one becomes tangible…” This film is available in DVD, for example here.

I’m all for oxymorons being one myself, but perhaps a rough translation spot on is a little too spot off! Nevertheless appreciated.

Now can we have this poil de Yeti analysed for DNA!

  7. cryptidsrus responds:

    Thanks for that, Little Foot!!!

I’m afraid my French is limited to “Ce’st la Vie,” and so on.

That, and the refrain from “Lady Marmalade.” 🙂

  8. JMonkey responds:

I cant even remeber the refrain from “Lady Marmalade”, so thanks alot. It is really hard to translate French to English and I appreciate your help. Think you could translate the DVD for me if I bought it. LOL.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
