Werewolf Mask Fools Investigators

Godfrey Werewolf Mask

This is a time for caution, says an experienced werewolf hunter.

Beast of Bray Road

Linda Godfrey, the author of The Beast of Bray Road and Hunting the American Werewolf, shares the image of this newly available mask (at top), as an example of the kinds of costume items easily obtainable nowadays.

From photographs of probable people in Bahia mud to sightings of Skinwalkers, she notes, it is a time for care for all investigators.

    Most definitely!

  2. crypto-hunter465 responds:

i agree totally. investigators need to be careful they are being fooled.

  3. greywolf responds:

Well I don’t know about caution by investigators but the IDIOT that pulls such a hoax should rethinkwhat they are doing first because there are people who will shoot you. Like with a Bigfoot there are thoes who believe the only way is to shoot one so HOAXER BEWARE..

  4. dws responds:

    HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  5. crypto-hunter465 responds:

I agree. With so many resources to hoax, it is very good to be cautious.

  6. ddh1969 responds:

“Gosh, I sure am bored…I know! I’ll get a werewolf mask and walk around in the woods scaring people! What could possibly go wrong?”

    On a serious note…

I certainly hope no one is stupid enough to try such a thing. The world is crazy enough already to think someone could be shot to death trying to get a good laugh or stir up some tourist activity. We are losing enough creature enthusiasts lately as it is. As they say on tv…’don’t try this at home’.

    “You reap what you sow…”

  7. mauka responds:

Yes, that would look good over my fire place. THATS What I’m talking about it would look good above my or anyones fire place, so any man or women witha gun would gladly shoot a beast like that.

  8. swnoel responds:

I thought wolves were still on the ES list, wouldn’t shooting one get you in trouble?

    On the more serious note…

  9. The Night Stalker responds:

We are talking about somebody who would be dumb enough to run around in a mask in an area where people are armed. And some of you are concerned for this idiot? Remember that everbody is responsible for their own actions. Look at it this way, we do have a population problem and the gene pool definately needs improvement. The biggest problem I can see is hiding the body so you don’t get caught. If you are caught, just tell them that you thought a wild animal was attacking you and you fired in self-defence. As you can tell, I have no patience with stupid people.

  10. ddh1969 responds:

Believe it or not, there are some decent people that just do stupid things.

  11. bill green responds:

hey loren wow very informative new werewolf article, i realy want to get linda godfery s new book hunting the american werewolf in time its got a great book cover. good evening bill green 🙂

  12. mrmordrid responds:

Whoever was fooled by this 20 dollar mask was a complete idiot! And how does one become an “experienced” werewolf hunter anyhow? I knew it was a mask the second I saw it. When I saw the title I was expecting something really highend not some dime store mask that I can get off of ebay or my local walmart this time of year. What are these guys going to do when someone wants to actually put some EFFORT into one of these hoaxes? I can go out and buy a complete werewolf costume that looks a hell of alot more convincing than that for $350. Better yet I can buy a Bigfoot costume from the same company for 100 dollars more. And this isn’t even nearly close to the quality that Penn & Teller used on their show. That of the matter is that you can’t call yourself experienced in anything crypto related if you are so easily fooled.

  13. CamperGuy responds:

Agree with the above posters on the danger of wearing a mask (or complete suit).

    Tragedy in the making.
