Keel Rehabs

John Keel was supposed to be moved on October 23 from the hospital, but didn’t get transferred to rehab until the 25th. He is receiving his cards and letters. His recovery from his heart attack that apparently occurred on Friday the 13th seems to be slow but nothing out of the ordinary.
Here’s some more news from Doug Skinner:
Greetings, Keel fans. I’m a friend of John’s. He’s recuperating nicely. He’s undergoing some physical therapy after his cardiac surgery, which is routine. He’s expected to be back home in a couple of weeks.
I visited him yesterday, and brought him his mail from his P.O. box. Loren has posted this elsewhere, but for those who want to reach him, he’s at P.O. Box 20024, N.Y., NY, 10025.
We chatted a bit about the ["Sci Fi Investigates" Mothman] show; he was contacted but chose not to participate. I didn’t see the Mothman special, so I had nothing to add.

Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
As a younger (46 now) one who has spent this entire year recovering from a relatively mild medical event in January I have to say at his age Keel is doing remarkably well according to these updates. My thoughts to him are relax and take the time to heal.
John’s a great guy and so is Doug; I used to be in touch with them via INFO and the NY Fortean Society. I had been out of touch with John for a long time; I’m sorry it took a health emergency for me to get back in the groove. Anyway, I hope John makes a quick recovery!
I hope Keel makes a speedy recovery, but for now he should relax.
