Sea Serpent Watch: Update

Posted by: Loren Coleman on September 2nd, 2009

Update: Due to demand, an additional Sea Serpent-Whale Watch tour has been added at 8:30 am on Saturday, September 5th.

Over the Labor Day weekend 2009, I’ll be giving presentations at two entirely different kinds of venues in Maine.

You can come hear an illustrated cryptozoology talk on Black Panthers, Bigfoot & Sea Serpents, and/or join me on a Sea Serpent-Whale Watch, up the coast of Maine.

My PowerPoint presentation and Q&A at 7:00 pm, Friday, September 4, 2009, will be located at the Waldo Theatre in Waldoboro, Maine. I’ll be selling and signing books there too. Also, I’ll have a table full of cryptozoology artifacts, Bigfoot & Yeti footcasts, and museum quality replicas for viewing.

Order tickets now at the Waldo Theatre Website.

Next, how about a special on-the-water presentation?

Yes, out of Bar Harbor, Maine, a whale watch will occur in which I will give commentary, in between the more formal observations of the marine environment, about local sea serpent reports and other mystery ocean cryptid sightings in the Gulf of Maine.

If you want to secure a seat (honestly, I do hear they sell out quickly due to all the leaf-peepers in the state), you can purchase tickets for the Saturday, September 5th, 2009, 1:00 PM ocean cruise, by going to Bar Harbor Whale Watch or calling 1-800-whales4. Update: Now there will be an extra opportunity at 8:30 am; tickets still available to both.

Also on board will be Richard Klyver, the cryptozoologist artist who will have copies of his illustration of the Frenchman’s Bay Sea Serpent for sale for $10, which Dick and I will be glad to autograph for tour guide members, if you wish. The trip leaves from Harborplace, next to the Downtown pier in Bar Harbor, and is being organized by whale watch-marine cryptozoologist Zach Klyver, who will also assist with his professional guide skills.

See you on board. Or see you on tv. Or some other places. After my Maine talks, I begin extended trips to Texas, Indiana, and Massachusetts through the end of the year, and next year to Scotland, Illinois, and New Hampshire, for starters.

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
