Which Head For Patty?

Posted by: Loren Coleman on May 6th, 2010

Last summer 2009, History broadcast a superb analytic episode of “MonsterQuest.”

Remember it?

Various heads of the Patterson-Gimlin film’s Bigfoot were presented.

Which one of the Patty heads do you think matches the filmed Sasquatch the best?

A? B? C? D? Or E?

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  1. RWRidley responds:

    B

  2. TimmyRyan65 responds:

Personally I don’t like any of them but if I was forced to I would choose A. Looking at the Patterson film and the enhancements, the face of the creature in the film doesn’t appear to be “furry” but just a dark complexion to the skin. Gorilla’s faces aren’t furry but their skin is jet blackish in color.

    Just my 2 cents!

  3. joe levit responds:

    I vote “B”

  4. MountDesertIslander responds:

The mouth is in the right place on ‘A’ while the hair and nose look more correct on ‘B’.

  5. Delmonstro responds:

None are dead-on, but I guess B would be closest overall.

  6. Dr Kaco responds:

Looks like John & Ken’s ‘heads on a stick’ promotion there for a second( Southern California reference there). But yes back to business…I’d have to go with B as well.

  7. clman1 responds:

“B”. I think the crest is correct, and I believe Patty’s face is more human looking than most people think.

  8. dharkheart responds:

    B.

  9. shownuff responds:

i vote none. i like the episode this was done on. But im so tired of this. Someone, anyone just get in the forest and camp for months. record them. on the regular. and there. I’m dying to see this crature. but not behind bars in some zoo or on a lab somewhere.

  10. John Cartwright responds:

Going on what I witnessed, if I had to choose from these examples, B would be the closest. But, the animal I saw was a male. None of these are quite right IMO though.

  11. skimmer responds:

How about A.5? I agree none are dead on. I think the closest combination is between the more gorilla like A (with it’s heavy jaw and longer face) and B with its square face, wide mouth and broad human-like nose. A and B appear to have a more prominant crest than the others and more bare skin around the mouth and eyes–again increasing the similarity to what I derive from the PG footage.

  12. red_pill_junkie responds:

    Definitely B

  13. CryptidHuntr responds:

none of em look right. But, i would say B

  14. JMonkey responds:

I really think these miss the mark, just like all the attempts to recreate the PG footage has. I do not believe the PG film is a hoax, so you would need some dang good proof to show me otherwise.
