Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  3. skunkape_hunter responds:

That sounds like good news !! Maybe ‘they’ will now put a little more money into the next BF movie !! Hopefully doing a bit more research, and maybe even hire Loren as a consultant !! I can see the credits rolling already ….. 🙂

  4. twblack responds:

That did very well for a cable show.

  5. Coot688 responds:

A lot of people may have watched it but that does not mean that every single one of those people liked it. I was dissapointed. Not a coherent story nor written well.

  6. sasdave responds:

Haven’t seen it yet; but, a friend of mine checked its rating on the internet which was rated the same as their last bf movie, 3 out of 10. Sounds like a hit to me, not.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad BF news, stick to reality the bigfoot aren’t that bad and ugly.

  7. GrizzlyPeak responds:

Well guys, the film was a hit for Sci Fi.

Just spoke with them this morning. Which is a good thing (5th most watched show of the week – thats “show”, not movie). I want to say thanks for spreading the word. The only reason this film was made was because the last one ( “Sasquatch” with Henriksen) was also so successful and they wanted to repeat it. These numbers will encourage them to do it again. Though they are open to other “crypto” creatures, Sasquatch seems to be a favorite topic for them and obviously the viewers.

I have to attribute some of the success to boards like this talking about it that helped bring in the 1.7 million viewers or so. Should something new get into the works, you’ll hear it first on Cryptomundo!

    Thanks again everyone!

    Michael

  8. Lee Pierce responds:

Good work, Michael. When can we expect the sequel? Please include Cerina. How about a baby bigfoot where the dead guy who was feeding them is the father. The good guys could hide the half-human baby from the feds who want to experiment on it. Someone must get it declared human to save it’s life.

  9. bill green responds:

Wow, that’s wonderful that sasquatch mountain was such a wonderful big hit for everyone here at cryptomundo & elseware as well. I hope a sequel is done to sasquatch mountain in near future. But I really enjoyed watching sasquatch mountain 2 times already im definitely going to watch it again & when it comes on dvd as well. 🙂

  10. lea williams responds:

Just saw the movie and I thought that it had a unique twist on the storyline that I hadn’t expected! It was a cool movie!

I always thought that Lance Henriksen had one of the sexiest voices that I’d ever heard. He still turns me on!

Nice pair up with Cerina and Vincent too! If Sci Fi would consider putting this cast together again, I’ll be there!

    Love ya Sci Fi
