That Guy’s New Broadcast Makes Fun Of Ohio Bigfooters

In New Zealand, on Friday night, February 12, 2010, the long ago announced mockumentary ripping into the conference goers attending Don Keating’s Bigfoot gathering in 2009 was televised.

Caption published by the Ohio newspaper: Area Bigfoot authority Don Keating is interviewed by Leigh Hart, host of Mysterious Planet, a New Zealand television series dealing with strange phenomenon. The interview was during the 21st annual Bigfoot Conference/Expo Saturday at Salt Fork Resort and Conference Center. Filming is videographer Brent Spillane.

Leigh “That Guy” Hart’s Mysterious Planet: The World’s Greatest Unsolved Mysteries  has not been viewed yet, but the way it is being portrayed in the Kiwi media, one does wonder how much fun is being made of the Bigfooters.  It will be recalled that Hart misrespresented himself as a straight-forward documentary filmmaker, and ended up giving a presentation to the crowd when a MonsterQuest producer reportedly cancelled. (Read more here: Kiwi Hoax.)

On Friday, the New Zealand media had this to say:

Hart said the study of Big Foot [sic], the first show in the six-part series, almost turned into a study of the strange habits of fanatics at a Big Foot [sic] conference in Ohio.

He says the Bigfoot fanatics spend most of their time blogging about the hairy creature, and “unless Bigfoot goes online, I don’t think they are going to catch him”.

We haven’t seen any footage from the show, but we shall share what comes our way.

Hart is a master of disguises to fool the people he wishes to make fools of, or at least he thinks he is.

One of Leigh Hart’s previous trips to Bigfoot country:

The entire series down here is being advertised as a real piss-take. I caught about 5 minutes of the show last night, in that 5 minutes I saw the Cryptomundo website flashed on screen.

Also you might be able to watch the show on the TVNZ Ondemand website, not sure if it’s region locked though.

  2. Cryptoraptor responds:

“Why not Al, why can’t you have a suit that tight(enough to see muscle movement)?” seems to be a legitimate question.

  3. shownuff responds:

im sorry that was funny. him yelling in there faces was hilarious. and when he told the dude ” Why cant they make costume that tight?” stump the guy. I like comedy i really do. And this Loren Was Def different. Sometimes its good to just laugh keeps humans healthy. I wonder if Bigfoots laugh?

  6. Thatguy responds:

Nice to see some people enjoying the show in the spirit it was intended. Now I look forward to the more travel based episodes such as surviving in the jungles of Peru. This may be hard for some people to understand but this series was never intended to be anything other than be a light hearted look at documentary film making and makers, not specifically the subject matter they are attempting to be documenting. I chose subjects which were familiar or ‘household names’ such as Bigfoot, Loch Ness and the Pyramids but as the series progresses it will become very clear that most, if not all the comedy is very much at OUR expense, (Its funnier that way!) Hope those that enjoyed the show continue to enjoy it and those that haven’t seen anything yet get a chance to see some. Hope you are all well and Happy Valentines day. Leigh

By the way, thanks Loren for posting the above comment, I wasn’t sure it would make it on
    Regards Leigh

I thought the guy was an idiot. Plus the “Footage” they show is not the Patterson footage. Didn’t you guys catch that? If not you’re as stupid as the mocker.
