New Utah Bigfoot Video

Posted by: Loren Coleman on September 6th, 2011

What do you think of the new footage of something tall and hairy taken in Utah during August 2011?

Last week in the mountains of Utah. We were target shooting after a long day of fishing. We scared something from the trees. We had two separate cameras running as we were shooting…. None of us slept very well for the next couple of nights. We found some sort or ‘hut’ about 100 yards from our camp and tried not to disturb anything. None of us are believers or can truly explain what we saw. But, we saw something.

Thanks for the comments that have been received. I do have several more shots of what we saw. Unedited. I’m just not sure that ‘Youtube’ is the proper platform to release them. I am working with a friend of mine who knows more about this stuff than I do. He has advised me to keep the rest of the material unreleased until i have proper counsel. These images were simply a quick snap shots or some of the highlights of the captured images. The entire film will be made public once I have been advised.LegoCloneBoy321

Here is video uploaded by someone analyzing the original Utah Bigfoot footage posted on YouTube. Tom Burke, our newstipster, is NOT “zombietom69” who posted this video, just fyi.

Thanks to Tom Burke (planettom since 1974) for the heads up.

In the shot at 0:29-0:32 it looks like a man in a very thick jacket. Maybe a survivalist or a hunter. I’m pretty sure you can see part of his face unter the alleged hood of his. This would also explain who could have built the tent-like structure they found.

I think the guy who posted it is honest, he is just not right with his assumption that this is a bigfoot. But still it is a scary situation, someone watching you in the middle of the woods w/o saying anything, merely walking by in silence… can actually freak you out I think…

If you read the Youtube comments people complain that the camera man is not shaking and loosing focus and such… pretty funny… possibly the same guys who are raging about all the blob-sqatch videos on youtube, too… XD

Conclusion: I’m positive that it is acutally just a man in some sort of bulky clothing. Sorry, no sasquatch here… 🙁

  2. gridbug responds:

    *sigh*

  3. mandors responds:

Hair didn’t look uniform, and the figure did not look like an animal moving naturally in its environment. I was waiting for it to trip.

Also, the hut/den thing seems small and does not look like other “nests” purportedly made by bigfoots. It looks more eagle-scoutish with some moss thrown on top.

  4. flame821 responds:

Video image is not detailed enough to really make any determination, I’d like to know the type of camera, resolution, etc. And we all know that YouTube has a bad habit of compressing to stream the video more quickly. Perhaps the original video will show more detail and we can give it a fair shot then.

The thing that struck me the most was the fact that the creature didn’t make much leaf litter sounds while walking, yet the whole time you can hear some sort of grunting, especially in the first 30 seconds. Although the sound MIGHT be from the camera man as a similar sound is heard at 0:51-52 but I’d like someone else to listen to it and give another opinion. The alternative is that the film could have been slowed down causing heavy breathing to give a low grunting sound, but it that happened the insect noise would have had to been laid overtop. The creature didn’t seem to make much leaf litter noise but then again neither did the men; at the 50 second mark; although you can hear a helicopter flying overhead at that time.

  5. flame821 responds:

When they walk back to the lean-to at :50 seconds, is that an access road behind them or is that just an optical illusion? I can’t imagine an elusive creature building a sleeping site/nest so close to a road.

And would someone with a higher resolution monitor take a good look at the trees as the man walks back to the lean-to? It seems as if all the branches on several trees are gone but I can’t tell if they were ripped or cut on this monitor (out and about today, netbook not that good for detailed images) or it may even be an optical illusion as the branch knots seem to go fairly high up.

  6. captainadam_21 responds:

I like the survivalist theory. To me it definitely looks like the “entity” has its hands in its pockets as it is walking away which would lead me to think it is a person in a coat. Plus the hut looks like it would be something too small for a creature the size of bigfoot to crawl into.

At least this one doesn’t feel like a cheesy hoax.

  7. skimmer responds:

Considering only what can be seen in the video I think the shape coupled with the apparent hairiness of the creature is very similar to that of a person wearing a ghillie suit. In particular, the head of the thing appears overly large in relation to the breath of the shoulders and there appears to be a hood shadowing the face as you would expect from a ghillie suit. As far as the hut goes—one should find tracks, hair, dung, and maybe a little blood no matter what built it. Given the choice of identifying the creature as a Bigfoot or a person in a ghillie suit, I’d pick the latter.

  8. choppedlow responds:

It’s real. 100% verified. See how the light glistens off the fur? That’s not a costume people! Also it meets most of FBFB’s points of morphology. It’s tree peeking, has a non-compliant gait, its palms and foot pads are white (like Ostman said), there’s no way a human can bob up and down when it walks, it has a uniform hair color, and it’s blurry. Couldn’t be anything BUT a bigfoot! Also, there is more of them (blurry spots) in the back ground. And like they say on Facebook Find Bigfoot, they are 10,000 times better at moving around in the woods than we are! (Its better to just accept it and not use common sense, people!)

  9. Redrose999 responds:

    It’s a wookie or a Yeti from Doctor Who….

  10. inbetween responds:

if you look at the video, at least the second one at 1:11, you can see what looks like someone spraying a hose above and to the left of the hut. I don’t know that it means anything, just an interesting point. Maybe this is really someone’s backyard.

  11. inbetween responds:

If you look at the second video at 1:11, (maybe the first one as well I didn’t check) above the hut and to the right for a part of a second you can see someone spraying a hose. I am pretty sure there are no spigots out there, so I am guessing this is someone’s backyard.

  12. Cryptoz responds:

No comments yet on the videos authenticity, but i have to say it reminds me of that Gigantopithecus statue. the one standing upright.

  13. Cryptoz responds:

I think youre right about it being a person. Possibly a poacher, which is why he didn’t approach the cameraman. I’ve been on my own survival camping trip, an i’ve gotten a good look at survival structures, and that looks very symmetrical in construction, very man-made. If it was a poacher, I wonder why the structure would be made of what appears to be completely natural materials, no duct tape or anything. And, there is no fire or cooking equipment. I guess it could be that the explanation for this lack of material is because its a temporary shelter, or the occupant doesn’t want to leave a trace of him being there. If it happens to be a Bigfoot, he must have taken some survival class, because thats a good structure. Doubt it.

  14. dermal_ridges_are_proof responds:

Highly blurred low resolution footage can be the hoaxers ‘smoke and mirrors’ in order not to obviously give the game away.

But having said that the low resolution ensures it remains in the ‘inconclusive’ category, therefore in truth their’s still a chance it might be genuine.

Posters here are letting rip with ‘conclusive’ verdicts based on footage that isn’t really suited for detailed scrutiny.

The hut discovered is quite neat, all that’s missing is windows, curtains, and a front porch! However. Do those young broken tree trunks on the hut and nearby show signs of being broken, sawn, or chopped? That’s an interesting one to ponder.

I have my doubts, but I will try and remain open minded. ‘Lego Clone Boy’ has more footage to be aired, so I do hope it’s released into the public domain soon. All we might need is a single frame 352! …Dream on I hear you say!

  15. Mïk responds:

OK, Bigfoots build huts?!? I was sure that they rented cabins during the season. What self-respecting bigfoot would reside in a clearing? Many things wrong with the video, AND the analysis. I’ll leave it to the experts on this one.

  16. klprds responds:

new wookie costume just came out. no cone head. fake.

  17. BOOTYMONSTER responds:

it’s someone in a Ghillie Suit

the hut is someone (most likely the same person) practicing their survival skills.

it’s sad some folks are so desperate for attention/money that they will stoop to trying to pass crap like this off.

“The entire film will be made public once I have been advised.”

sounds like another deadliest catch caddy waste of time in the making.

  18. FrankGHaymes responds:

Does anyone have a Ghilie Suit that they can take a picture out in the bush?

This way we can compare the other pictures with a Ghilie Suit.

  19. DWA responds:

Nothing to go on = nothing.

But when it looks like a guy in a suit, it is.

Bottom line: if nobody’s going out there to follow up until better evidence is obtained, put it on the pile.

Video analysis won’t confirm cryptids. The most it can do is get the right people interested, and this ain’t the one.

  20. Weezy responds:

Whatever it is it looks pretty huge. Could just be the angle or whatever, but it does look very tall and wide.

  21. DNS responds:

Good eye, inbetween! It took me several tries, but there is a person in what appears to be a white sweat shirt or such like, visible between trees just above the hut at 1:11. Slightly to the right of center. Hard to say what the person is doing, but spraying a water hose is a good guess I think.

That hut just screams “made for video” to me, but as with any fuzzy video of dubious origin, there just isn’t enough information available to support an intelligent conclusion. I will be surprised, though, if it’s anything more than yet another load of crap.

  22. whiteriverfisherman responds:

Wow..really? I better not say one more word about this one!! 🙂

  23. paw7800 responds:

What makes this a fake in my opinion is when they first show the “hut” you can clearly see a pine sapling that was cut/sawed and the one to the right was started by a cut then broke off to make it look like it might have been broken off. Not to mention it was in a fairly open area. From what I have read there should be a “pit” about 2 ft in ground lined with moss, etc and more concealed. Don’t buy any of it!!

  24. zigoapex responds:

Ghillie suits are uniform in their color pattern, there hard to walk in, and get snagged on brush easy witch causes movement, not saying that some one could have altered it for the video.

In the picture on top it looks a little like gloves. Also, when it turns and steps down you could see a separation between the hair of head and shoulders, maybe a mask?
The guy with the white shirt just seems to be looking around, they said there were 6? of them on the trip.

    quoting inbetween

“above the hut and to the right for a part of a second you can see someone spraying a hose”

It’s not a garden hose it’s smoke being exhaled by the guy in the white shirt.

The hut, looks like some of the branches were saw cut, but cant be sure because of video quality.

Some flags raised but might be answered with better video. On the fence with this one but leaning towards hoax.

  25. DNS responds:

That would be some pretty thick smoke issuing from the guy in the white shirt. Anyway, I really like the idea of this being shot in someone’s back yard with neighbors doing yard work. It just seems so appropriate, somehow.

  26. jan09 responds:

Shame shame, I bet they ate Bigfoot’s porridge and slept in his bed.

  27. RedLandsBigfoot responds:

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!

  28. BOOTYMONSTER responds:

    here ya go FrankGHaymes

    http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Ghillie+Suit&aq=f

  29. kryptos006 responds:

If you look at the clearest view of it (in the :35 to:48 second) you will notice that the hair is not pointing in a uniform direction like it would for any primate. Bernard Heuvelmans said it himself when he was discussing the plausibility of the Patterson-Gimlin Film being a hoax (check if you don’t believe me, in More “Things” by Ivan T. Sanderson p. 78-79). Sorry folks but this to me seems like a clear cut hoax (especially with the hose thing). Wow.

  30. Nominay responds:

I’m perplexed why anyone is taking this seriously. It’s just more B.S.
I’m not of the mind that even with techno-media advancement, that we’ll be getting legit Bigfoot videos right and left, every two weeks.

  31. DWA responds:

Nominay: my take on reasons why stuff like this gets taken seriously.

    1) Education. I, for one, like to tell people why something is likely not to be genuine, and what to look for to conclude that one is, or may be. And I like to weigh in on the likelihood of our getting anywhere poring over video (small).

    2) Lack of acquaintance with the evidence. Almost none of these look or sound anything like what witnesses whose experiences appear genuine say they saw and felt.

    3) Need to show expertise (aka cynicism). “FAKE.” End of post.

As to your last sentence: no one seems to have any idea how hard it is to get a good photo – much less video – of a wild animal. Suffice it to say that if the animal isn’t accustomed to people, it’ll be gone before you can focus. Patterson got his film – which if I had to bet I’d bet was genuine – after weeks of searching on horseback, in areas of recent sightings and track finds, with a camera at the ready, in a saddleside holster, that he prepared so thoroughly to use that he got the shot after being thrown from his horse.

(No guys, your camera shake don’t cut it. Stop that.)

Unless somebody puts in both the time and the prep, says here, it will be the sheerest of luck to get anything legit. Might as well try to save the world by winning the lottery.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
