Posted by: Loren Coleman on September 8th, 2008

I’m glad to see Adam Davies and Jeff Meldrum will be on screen soon, via their new Yeren episode. Then that shall be followed a few days later by the New York Bigfoot program with Paul and Robert Bartholomew. Unfortunately, the MonsterQuest’s new season is fighting football on other channels for viewer attention. The repeats are on Wednesdays.

All times are Eastern. Please check your local listings.

MonsterQuest : Mega Hog
Airs on Wednesday September 17 12:00 PM
Do wild hogs in the United States grow to monstrous sizes? Many think so. In Georgia an 1100 pound hog was shot and killed, and in Texas beasts almost as large have been reported. But are these creatures raised and fattened up in a pen, or are they wild hogs, naturally more aggressive, that have somehow reached gigantic proportions? A MonsterQuest examination meets victims of vicious wild boar attacks, looks at the existing evidence and teams up with hog hunters, researchers and trackers to find a giant.

There is no airdate yet for the “Prehistoric Bears” episode, so everyone please keep your eyes peeled for that one.

  2. cliffhanger042002 responds:

I’m glad to see it’s time for some new episodes. That is one of my favorite shows, along with Destination Truth. Yeah, I know it drips cheese from the tv set at times, but still entertaining nonetheless. I saw Destination Truth previews on the Sci-Fi channel last night about this week’s new episode saying that Josh Gates comes face-to-face with the “Worm Monster”. It’s probably just an eel or something, but they did a good job getting me interested enough to watch though, lol. But who knows, could be a worm monster lurking in the depths!!!

  3. sausage1 responds:

These sound like good shows, Loren. I’ll let you know what we think in the UK when we see them in 2012. (ooooOOOOOoooo!)

  4. collin_the_criptid responds:

dont worry i will tape them for you 😀

  5. Gary the Cat responds:

    Sausage,

if you’ve got a DVD that plays multi-region, you can buy Series One on DVD, as well as the companion show, UFO Hunters.
    I bought mine via Amazon.

That way you will only have to wait until next year when Series 2 should come to DVD!

    Gary.

  6. Lyndon responds:

    Sausage1,

You don’t need to wait until 2012. You can view any Monster Quest episode on You Tube.

  7. CelticAngel responds:

Hmmm at least one of these is a repeat. I’ve seen the Mega Hog one numerous times. And possibly the squid one as well. They were okay. I’m so ready for new stuff though!

  8. ghosttheory responds:

    Awesome.

    Glad I have TiVO.

I think MonsterQuest is one of the better shows of this genre.
    Can’t wait for the episode

  9. Spyder responds:

The New York Bigfoot one is also a repeat. It aired two weeks ago in the Wednesday slot. I was shocked to see a certain Steve Kulls in the proceedings… hard to take it serious at that point, and Bigfoot in New York is already a hard enough sell.

  10. Lupus78 responds:

    @ sausage1:

    *cough* download *cough* 😉

  11. jtm_kryptos responds:

dude monster quest is the BOMB of all cryptozoological shows and documentaries.

  12. busterggi responds:

Let us hope that they don’t search for yeren on the wrong continent as they did for giant octopus in the wrong ocean.

  13. sasquatch responds:

I waited all day to watch the Yeren episode and in it’s place was a 911 show!
The tV even said We were watching Monster Quest! I wonder what happened?

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
