Kimball passed along his congratulations to all, and, for example, had this to say:

Loren Coleman has to be the Barack Obama of the paranormal – the man knows how to rock the vote. I think his double win is also a reward for the good work he does, and a sign of the esteem in which he is held.

I certainly appreciate all of you, the voters and fans of mine, the great support from Cryptomundo readers, Paul’s initial nomination, various people who mentioned me on their blogs, and feel this is a win for you all.  Thank you, sincerely.

Needless to say, I am humbled with this win, during my 50th anniversary year of my life pursuing hidden animals, anomalistic unknowns, and human mysteries. Thank you all for your appreciation of my investigations, my writings, and my wish to steer a middle course away from the extremes of true believers on both ends of cryptozoology and other Forteana that still intrigue me.

Now, let’s get back to work!  Patience and passion, with a little funding, and I have much to do in the next 50 years!!

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  1. Christoph responds:

Congratulations and Good Luck, Loren! When can we expect your next book?

  2. Mahalo X responds:

Congratulations to Loren, Craig and Tim! As a lifelong independent researcher, books by Fort, Sanderson and Coleman have intrigued, as well as inspired me. Living in Oregon for 33 years, I have seen my share of Crypto-hominid evidence, and appreciate the level of legitamacy given to these studies by Cryptomundo and their sister-sites. I am a little dissapointed to see “UFO Hunters” listed as the top TV show. In my opinion, the so-called “research” conducted by “UFO Hunters” has turned up no new evidence, just rehashed old UFO stories with expensive on-location toys, and useless-already-common-knowlege recaps and interviews, riddled with commercial interuption. Sure would like to see the legitamacy brought by Cryptomundo applied to UFO research!

  3. Imaginary Friend responds:

    Congratulations! 🙂
