Well, the entertaining saga of the Hackney Horror, out of place bear, phantom black hound, or whatever else it might be, continues to rumble on at a steady pace. The most recent theory is that it’s Willow, the pet Newfoundland dog of Paul and Nicole Winter-Hart – the former being the drummer for Brit band Kula Shaker.
That may well indeed be the case, but I’m getting a distinct case of deja vu, since a Newfoundland was also suggested as being the culprit in yet another event of mystery animal proportions.
Also from England, it occurred back in 2007 when Troy – then a two year old Newfoundland – was suspected of provoking (innocently, of course!) reports of a “Beast of Dartmoor” roaming the wilds of Devonshire.
And, in my next post – which will appear here at Cryptomundo shortly – you’ll see that there really does appear to be a genuine Newfoundland tie-in with mystery animals that dates back centuries…
