In June this year I spent three weeks in the U.S. For the majority of that I was engaged in field research in three locations:
1. The Olympic Project run by Derek Randles in Washington State.
2. Dr.Matthew Johnson’s SOHA site in Oregon.
3. The “Sierra Kills” site in California. Justin Smeja and Bart Cutino.

A group of Russian enthusiasts says they have new evidence of the existence of a Russian bigfoot — and it was found just outside of Moscow.
On a table inside the capital’s illustrious State Darwin Museum last month, surrounded by glass cases containing beetles and moths, lies the purported proof: a fragment of tree bark that appears to have been marked by a large primate.

Derek is a wilderness guide and the co-founder of the Washington State based Olympic Project which was founded in 2008 to document the existence of Sasquatch in a non-invasive manner utilizing science, education, habitat study, game camera deployment, and DNA analysis.

On August 23, 2014, our expedition came across clear tracks on a riverbank in Upstate New York. Representing three individuals, the tracks measured six inches, eight inches, and thirteen inches in length. On exhibit at the Yakima Valley Museum from April 5, 2014 through December 27, 2014.
This exhibit was compiled and curated by Christopher Murphy for the Museum of Vancouver (BC, Canada). It has since traveled to the Seattle Museum of the Mysteries (now the Northwest Museum of Legends and Lore), the Pocatello Museum of Natural History (Idaho), the Yale Historic Site Museum (Yale, BC), and the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Wasco County Historical Museum (The Dalles, Oregon) before arriving in Yakima.

This week we will be speaking with Timothy Bastin and Wayne Barnes of Bigfoot Sasquatch Investigations (BSI). Both Tim and Wayne hail from Indiana, have known each other for 30 years, and formed the BSI a little over a year ago in order to conduct research into their area. They have collected witness testimony and conducted research into Daniel Boone National Forest, Hoosier National Forest, Harrison County, Blue River, and Lake Monroe.

The Original Texas Bigfoot Conference returns to Jefferson, TX. Established in 2001 as the original annual Bigfoot Conference in Texas by the Texas Bigfoot Research Center. Craig Woolheater, Monica Rawlins and Gino Napoli bring back the event on Texas Bigfoot Weekend as proclaimed on October 15, 2005 by the mayor of the City of Jefferson, TX. The third weekend in Jefferson is proclaimed as Texas Bigfoot Weekend.
The event takes place on October 18, 2014.

Is there an unknown beast lurking in the forests of the American Northwest? Thousands of people say they’ve seen it. It is part ape, part man, almost nine feet tall, covered head to foot in thick dark hair, and it walks on two legs. It’s sometimes called Sasquatch, a Native American word, one of more than eighty names they have for such a creature. More commonly it’s known as Bigfoot. Could this beast be the fabled missing link that proves we humans are descended from apes? A link that if proved, would be explosive!
