Globsters Abounding!

Posted by: Karl Shuker on July 14th, 2015

Mystery beasts come in all sizes and shapes, but in the case of globsters they are most famous not just for their great size but also for their conspicuous lack of any well-defined shape. Aptly named by American cryptozoologist Ivan T. Sanderson in the early 1960s, globsters (also dubbed blobsters or blobs) are generally huge, amorphous masses of decomposing tissue, usually rubbery and covered in fibrous ‘hair’, lacking any recognisable body parts or skeleton, which are regularly washed ashore on beaches around the world.

Coast to Coast AM: Bigfoot & Giant Discoveries

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on March 31st, 2015

George Knapp welcomed DNA expert, Melba Ketchum, for the entire 4-hour program, for a discussion on her Bigfoot research, as well as her testing or planned testing of samples from four giant and elongated skulls, and other giant remains. She addressed some of the controversies surrounding her previous DNA analysis of alleged Bigfoot hair and related samples, which yielded strange results that suggested some kind of human hybrid or mutation. The criticism of her work hasn’t come from geneticists but from people “not qualified to even review the paper,” or people who never even bothered to read her analysis, she remarked.

This week our guest is Dr. John Bindernagel, a professional wildlife biologist who has been studying the subject of Sasquatch in North America since 1963. He lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. His interest in this animal began in 1963 when, as a third year student in wildlife management at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, he was laughed at for raising the report of an animal described as an “ape-man” for possible discussion.

Sasquatch Tool Use

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on February 11th, 2015

Recent DNA sequencing of Sasquatch, also known as “Bigfoot” has revealed mitiochondrial DNA with the same configuration as modern humans. In researching areas of Central Texas, David Claerr has found very strong evidence that the Sasquatch use tools made of flint, bone, antler and wood. In this interesting and engaging account, Mr. Claerr details one of his many expeditions and the discoveries made at that time.

Do Hidden Creatures Live in the Pacific Northwest?

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on January 30th, 2015

The lack of skeletal remains of Sasquatch in the Pacific Northwest is readily explainable, said Jeff Meldrum, an Idaho State University anthropology professor, in Richland Thursday night.

His talk at the annual meeting of the Columbia Basin Badger Club — “Do hidden creatures live in the Pacific Northwest?” — attracted a sold-out crowd of 130 people, a record number for the club.

He’s taken a look at what he believes is the scientific DNA and forensic evidence gathered on Sasquatch in his book Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science.
