He is called Wawa Grande by the indigenous people living in the Cajas Mountains west of Cuenca. He was called the Monstruo de las Cajas in a 1997 German magazine article.
He can also be called the monster that won’t go away, despite the best efforts of Ecuador’s national park service and a number of scientists.
A Quito television station reported three weeks ago that two British hikers and their tour guide spotted the elusive creature in Cajas National Park during a three-day trek. The trio claimed to have observed the over-sized humanoid animal for several minutes in a remote area of the park in early April.

Monstrous spiders of gargantuan size are perennially popular subjects in science fiction ‘B’ movies as well as in classic fantasy novels such as J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit, but could such beasts exist in reality? The current record-holder for the title of world’s largest spider is Rosi – a […]

Numerous eyewitnesses have reported seeing a living dinosaur in the jungles of Cameroon. The locals refer to the creature as Mokele-Mbembe and it may be the last living sauropod dinosaur. The dinosaur sightings report a creature with a heavily armored body, a fringe of scales down its back, three foot circumference footprints, long neck, snake like head, a body as big as an elephant, claw-like feet and a long tail. In the MonsterQuest Episode “The Last Dinosaur”, the team goes to Africa in search of this last living dinosaur.

I want to let you in on a great documentary series done by my mate Wayne Hall. It’s called In Search of the Congo dinosaur.
Yes, there are creationist overtones which some may not agree with, but the essence of Mokele-mbembe research is captured in this series. This is a real passion of mine and I reckon that all the deprivations that me (my) mates and I have undergone has been worth it.

20 years ago, dogs baking wildly woke Christine Hebert’s Marina on a foggy night. A new dock had recently been built at the Auer Family Boathouse, with a light that extended out into the water. Christine looked out to see what was alarming the dogs, thought someone might be taking a boat, and to her surprise she saw a large creature rise up out of the water right under the light.

Are there photos and videos of alleged tracks in the snow posted online? Sure. And like the bulk of them taken during the other three seasons of the year, they are generally at best inconclusive and much more typically, hoaxes. Other than the Bossburg prints and the example from the 1980s someone cited above, where else has any bigfoot author mentioned any bigfoot tracks in the snow in more recent times, let alone over the last two decades? Has there even been a single mention in the written literature of bigfoot tracks in the snow since 2000?
