On Sunday’s program, Connie Willis welcomed eighth-grade science teacher, paranormal researcher, and Bigfoot hunter Thom Powell to the show to talk about his years of study and the connections he has made between his Bigfoot research and other aspects of the unknown. Powell described how he first became aware that the evidence for large, hairy hominids in North America was far more extensive than he first believed. Every time thought he could dismiss it, he said, “the evidence was better than I realized” which only increased his interest.

I speak to Steve Matney and Darrell Handyside.
Steve is a retired Law Enforcement Ranger, Mountain Rescue officer, and Fire Instructor. He himself has not seen a Sasquatch, but as a person who has spent most of his life due to his profession in the woods, he brings his unique perspective as a Ranger, to the subject of Sasquatch. His friend of 18 years, Darrell Handyside was working on Steve’s property in Colorado in 2001, when he saw an 8ft tall creature.

I received word a few hours ago that friend and fellow Bigfooter Rob Riggs passed away a few days ago.
I first met Rob when he spoke at my 2001 Texas Bigfoot Conference. That event was impacted by 9/11, which happened 4 days earlier. Several speakers were unable to fly in for the event, but Rob drove up for the event.
He had many interesting theories about the Big Thicket Wildman (Bigfoot) that he hopefully has the answers to now.
