More UK Wallaby News

Posted by: Nick Redfern on May 13th, 2012

Well, the story on the latest wallaby sighting (and filming) in the English county of Kent has now gone from being one of pretty much regional proportions to one of a national nature. The Daily Mail newspaper, which is sold all across the UK, has done a large piece on the saga, and it’s one that includes some interesting new data on relatively recent cases – and even a snippet of data on an encounter with a wallaby reported during a ghost-hunting investigation!

Could things get any weirder? Probably, yes!

I’ll continue to follow this, and related stories, and post them accordingly.

And here’s the link to the Daily Mail’s story.

  1. Gary Taylor via Facebook responds:

Wallabies have been in the Peak District since the early 70’s. I was once a (short lived) volunteer ranger and they were common knowledge. This was in 2009 and they had survived two of the harshest winters.

  2. Hapa responds:

Going on a ghost huntin’ trip, ending up finding a Wallaby instead. If that isn’t a fortean event, I don’t know what is.

We talked recently about wallabies in the UK and how to prove them. I wonder if the wallaby/dog vid was brought about, whether in part or in whole, due to what was discussed here previously on UK Wallabies.
